Summary: Did a 2 week stay with my son, and everything was as good as or better than advertised. Steve and Brenda were great hosts by enquiring occasionally if we needed anything, which they responded to immediately. Will be back there next year. Five Stars out of Five Stars for sure !

Summary: The property and the owners were outstanding! The place was perfect for NE Michigan adventures. I stayed partially during deer season & snowstorms and the scenery, nature & wildlife in the area is amazing. I'm excited to return in warmer months with my girlfriend and explore more Michigan!

Summary: We are no strangers to VRBO’s and usually are careful to book with long-established properties. When we planned our trip to the Thumb area of Michigan with the intent of visiting Port Crescent’s Dark Sky Park to do some star-gazing, and to take in a little sun and sand along the Saginaw Bay coastline, we saw this new VRBO. It presented well on the listing, and so we decided to be adventurous and give it a try. We are so glad we did! This was such a lovely spot out in the country, nestled between farming fields. Stocked with all the necessities, and friendly and knowledgeable hosts, this became a lovely hub for our 3-night stay. Just two of us were traveling, but there is a beautiful sleeper sofa, as well in the studio style set-up, if you have more in your party. We prepare most of our own meals, and have grown accustomed to bringing certain things because VRBO’s don’t always stock what we need. We were pleasantly surprised to find this one did! (Of course if you need something specific, be sure to inquire first). And the tap water was good-tasting, a rare treat! The wifi was great, and worked well, which was helpful since cell phone coverage in the general area is spotty. Being nature lovers, we were thrilled to see the deer that ventured out of the woods at dusk in the recently harvested wheat field across the road. (You’ll find most of the fields in the area have hunting blinds in them, and if you take a drive close to dusk the deer will be plentiful at the tree lines.) The next afternoon we saw two sand-hill cranes (a highlight of our trip) feasting their way across the field. (Our hosts even provided binoculars for viewing wildlife, and if you sit on the patio swing outside, you’ll have a comfortable, front-seat view of the actions of nature. Bad Ax is roughly 8 miles away, where we enjoyed a lovely steak dinner one night, and houses a Wal-Mart and Meijer, should you need those. We enjoyed exploring the local lighthouses, and port towns of the thumb, and just relaxing during our stay. We would definitely reserve this property again and wish our hosts the best as they have opened up their property

Summary: I stayed here as a travel nurse and was incredibly impressed by the kindness of the owners as well as how nice the property was. I enjoyed being close to Bad Axe and enjoying the peacefulness of the country. Highly recommend!!
