On the way to GNP in the summer and a choice of two ski resorts in the winter! Each are a mere 30-45 minutes from this "On the Way" vacation home. Even closer are lakes, rivers, hiking trails and bike paths! A favorite local swimming hole is the aqua-colored Foys Lake—a short 10 minute drive away. Flathead Lake (the largest natural lake west of the Missouri) is just 10 minutes further with a public swimming area in Somers' Bay. Hiking trails are as abundant as the wild flowers that embellish the Rocky Mountain Range—20 minutes from your door!
When not exploring the Flathead Valley's stunning beauty and friendly people, you will feel quite at home relaxing on the patio among the towering blue spruce trees that define this "once in the country" home. Reviews from guests reflect on the peaceful quiet and comfort of this well-cared-for home featuring two bedrooms, each with queen beds, and the larger bedroom including a set of twin bunk beds. The spacious bathroom is completely updated with new everything! Additionally, a half-bath has been recently added making larger gatherings even more comfortable. A large, relaxed living area includes TV, WiFi, and various streaming options. Kitchen comes complete with all large appliances including dishwasher and microwave as well as small appliances including coffee-maker, hot pot, pancake griddle and toaster. Whether packing for a picnic or full meal prep, you will find the vintage-original cupboards contain the tools you need. Washer and dryer included, along with a drying rack and ironing board! Beach towels are available for enjoying summer in the Flathead. Summary: I would absolutely recommend "Home on the Way" to anyone seeking a vacation stay in Montana. The location was conveniently located near the airport, restaurants, and grocery stores but didnt feel congested. The property was very clean and Cindy is very thoughtful about any amenities that a vacationing family might need. I LOVE the family story that came with the house and the drive to Glacier National Park from here was beautiful. Can't say enough good things about our stay here.

Summary: We totally enjoyed our stay at the House on the Way. When we walked in, it felt like home. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and even things we hadn't thought of! It was super clean. The area between the garage and the house made for pleasant evenings outside, and we even used the grill to make dinner. There were games and DVDs available as well as brochures on local activities and attractions. The owner was very gracious and communications between us were great. There was a history of the house, and we really felt like we were family staying there. It felt like home.

Summary: Having a place to come to and relax after a day of exploring is always nice but "House on the Way" exceeds all expectations. We were spoiled with very comfortable beds, beautiful linens, plenty of towels, air conditioning, beautiful decor, and a kitchen stocked with all the asoc utensils and seasonings needed to prepare meals. The hospitality you feel during your stay also gives you a beautiful connection that only adds to the feelings of a complete and wonderful vacation!

Summary: Cindys house was immaculate and very smartly furnished for travelers. She communicated with us and made the vacation so pleasant with the property fitting the bill to a tee! Our plane was delayed and she had the porch light on for us upon arrival. Great personal touches that will bring us back to her place again when we return for another visit.
