Positive: Staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Firewood was available.

Negative: Not really a ‘didn’t like’. But make sure to take groceries as there are no stores. There are a couple of really good restaurants though!

Positive: Highly recommend this peaceful mountain getaway! The house was large, clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly welcoming — we felt right at home. Don’t miss dining at their restaurant: the lamb chops are out of this world! Beautiful surroundings, easy and front door parking, and genuine hospitality. We’d absolutely come back.

Positive: If you want to be high up on the mountains, hear the tinkering of the sheep/goat bells, have an amazing view of the plateau, be greeted by the friendly owners/staff, have actual hot water (best hot water in Greece), and eat a nice simple breakfast of coffee, fresh juice, bread and eggs in the morning, then this place is for you. The little stone homes are pleasant and feel cozy in either cool or hot weather. We had everything we needed to make meals and do laundry. We used the pool, nice it had the cover since it was windy and cool when we first got here. And it’s just down the road from the start of the Samaria Gorge. It’s also nice to the restaurant to eat at for any of the meals. A nice family business.

Negative: Nothing is perfect, but we had a wonderful stay. We stayed in #2 house and there were just a couple items that could use attention/maintenance, but they are things we could live with. Some knobs were broken on the clothes washing machine. Spigot of the bath did not work as well as the drain plug, just the shower head was working. The full sized bed could use fitted sheets instead of twin flat sheets to make it more comfortable for a couple to sleep together.

Positive: Waking up in the mountains. No crowds, cooler temperatures but still very warm and sunny. Easy access to mountain paths and Samaria gorge. Roads generally good with little traffic. Goats, lots of 🐐 🐐 🐐 simple but hearty mountain food in local tavernas. Friendly locals
