Positive: A beautiful peaceful B&B off the beaten path with the most welcoming hosts Scott and Chris. The lodge has storybook gardens, comfortable rooms (ours had little private patios and views of the gardens) and a real sense of place with thoughtful art and furniture. We were welcomed with tea and cake when we arrived, and breakfast featured homemade granolas and jams. The two black cocker spaniels dogs are so sweet and calm too. The bed was comfortable and we slept well!

Negative: We were off to a day of caving so we would have loved a bigger breakfast with eggs.

Positive: Loved everything about Omaka Lodge from the time the hosts greeted us on arrival till we left the next morning. Beautiful home full of treasures & surrounded by an amazing garden. Most comfortable bed ever. Delicious continental breakfast with great selection of home made bread/spreads/cereals. The best of everything.

Positive: Our hosts were very welcoming, very accommodating. The garden is well worth exploring. We loved the dogs (American Cocker spaniels); Katie and Grayson charmed the socks off us!

Negative: In hindsight we wish we had booked in for a meal because our fellow guests seemed to be delighted. I think it was Chris who was the really good Chef, although Scot was involved too. Great hosts, both of them.

Summary: Loved it. Although the lodge is not all that old (1970s), it has a charming old-world effect on you.
