Positive: The property is really beautiful. The staff is exceptionally friendly, especially with kids. Every corner has something for the kids, including numerous activities. The beach was great fun! There was even an Easter egg hunt for the kids. I highly recommend Old Mac Daddy for parents with young kids looking to relax (although you might be hunting them down the entire weekend). Lastly, the staff made every effort to make my little boy feel loved and celebrated on his 6th birthday. Thank you for that.

Negative: The long hikes to the tent, the establishment must be very clear that the venue can be accessed by 4x4 or high bakkie. In one of the walks, we saw the snake crossing the road. We were offered a lift once on arrival to drop our luggage, but on our departure we carried our luggage all the way down which was stressful for the family given there was an infant as well.

Negative: We have been to Old Mac Daddy's many times over the years and there is a clear deterioration a the facilities in respect to maintenance. We hope to see more care to maintenance on the units and surrounds. Fridge does not seal properly and leaks, upkeep of the units, stacker doors etc and the fire hydrant has been leaking for months on end.

Summary: We just love the location and that we arrive with bags only no need for food. we can really rest!

Positive: The property was exceptionally good and quiet It was very therapeutic, we really enjoyed ourselves We were struggling withe WiFi signal but that worked on our advantage to. We had more time without cellphone, we connected a lot especially with nature Oh the stuff members was very helpful from the receptionists, restaurants and grounds man
