Summary: Overall the home is beautifully restored and my stay was worth the price paid. The check in process was confusing (no voicemail or answer), but thankfully we connected as I arrived. I stayed in the Jane Austen room which had a private bath accessed in the hallway. The bathroom needs significant updating. The lock did not work so I didn't feel comfortable taking a shower, and other guests used it even though it was supposed to be private (water bottle left on toilet, toilet not flushed). Another guest was hosting a big party on the front porch when I arrived which was very awkward to navigate through back-and-forth from my car. I also suggest bringing eye covering because the room is bright at night. The Inn is not staffed which seemed strange for a bed & breakfast, and breakfast is only served on weekends. However Amy, the owner (?) was welcoming, the bed was comfy, and the air conditioner kept the room nice and cool. It was also conveniently located to the SBU campus.

Summary: Hotels misrepresented the property stating a made-to-order breakfast was provided, which was not. We had 2 other properties we could have chosen but picked this one based on the reviews. We were misled and don't feel we got what we paid for.

Summary: This is a wonderful, remarkable inn/bed 'n breakfast! Everywhere you look there's beautiful woodwork and glasswork. The staff is very hard working and the breakfasts they create and serve on weekends (only) are generous and delicious. The next time we visit, Amy said I could come to the kitchen to watch how she makes the best, moistest and fluffiest scrambled eggs I've ever had! The place is a wonder... and what you see on the websites is what you get!

Summary: We have looked at and admired this B&B for years. We finally got the chance to book a room. Amy and Lois, the two lovely ladies who staff the place, have hospitality down to a science. The beautiful historic home is lavishly decorated, each room having its own unique theme. We stayed in the beautiful Signature Room, where we could entertain our friends. Lois cooked a delicious breakfast, coffee available 24/7, and we were welcomed to use the kitchen as often as we wanted. Stores and great restaurants were a short walk or drive away. Did I say drive? Oh, the beautiful hills nearby provided breathtaking views every time we went anywhere. Rock City Park — a hidden gem a visitor to the area will love! We chose to spend a little time walking through the very old Worth Smith Hardware store — another hidden secret. If the player piano isn’t playing, just ask, and the staff will play it for you. What a delight! Peruse the aisles and aisles of every day home and garden supplies… you will be sure to find something special to take home! As you leave don’t forget to take a free bag of fresh delicious theater popcorn, as well as a group picture with the giant patriotic squirrel in the parking lot.

Summary: Charming vintage building. Our ensuite room was attractive. However, the bathroom was dated and not entirely clean. No breakfast offered for our midweek stay.

Summary: Breakfast is only served on weekends but items are available for a light breakfast of cereal, breakfast bars, coffee, tea, etc. One of the towels was torn and frayed. The shower head was non-operational. It's very difficult to contact the inn by phone since there's no voice mailbox set up. The inn is charming and I'd stay there again.

Summary: My husband and I have never stayed in a B&B before. We had a wonderful experience with the Old Library Inn. Our room was decorated beautifully, and very clean. The bathroom was especially immaculate and the linens were soft, fresh and plentiful. Breakfast was fresh made to order and delicious. I felt very relaxed and comfortable in the living room area and kitchen. A wonderful stay and I will be back!

Summary: Breakfast was very good. The room needed to be cleaned better as there were dust bunnies under the bed. Enjoyed being able to sit in the living room.

Summary: It was a cool historical building that was very nice inside. We had the down stairs room it was spacious but the carpet did smell a little old and musty. I would stay there again in a differ room with no carpet in it.

Summary: Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Everything was as described.
