Positive: Quiet location Big enough for 3

Negative: Poor sound isolation: we could have heard the guest upstairs walking and dropping things on the floor. No private terrace to take the breakfast despite enough space around. Breakfast wasn't worth the effort (refer to the picture): maybe just to tick the checkbox. Very strict check-in and check-out rules: not clearly mentioned during booking (1000 yen fee after 5.30 pm check-in, sent by message. And for the check-out refer to the picture). No linen for the bed (refer to the picture). Limited options for dinner nearby.

Positive: The Lady was wonderful she made us a really good breakfast, helped us out a lot, and was super friendly. It's definitely one of the best stays I've had in japan.

Positive: The room was spacious and clean and the furniture was basic, but perfectly adequate. The hosts were very welcoming and enthusiastic. It is a bit out of the way, so you do need your own transportation. It would be a wonderful accommodation for those who prefer rustic and who like to be independent (there is a well stocked kitchen in the room). They also supply a small breakfast.

Positive: The place was very cute, super comfortable, clean, and welcoming. I felt right at home and the entire building is sitting in this very cute location. The owner had 2 cats which roam around the property. It was great to see them. The hosts were also very attentive and friendly. I had a great time speaking to them in Japanese, but they seem to manage really well with people don't speak Japanese. The best thing for sure was that they totally saved me twice! I didn't realize how rural this place was when I booked it. On the map, it looked more accessible on foot and it was only when I was heading to Aso that I would be in trouble because of my luggage. The host offered to pick me up from Akamizu and the even to take me back to get dinner/use the onsen. Later, they also offered to drive me to Tateno station for my departure train. This saved me so much stress. I couldn't walked with my luggage, but it would have been miserable. Overall, I had a really wonderful time staying here. Felt very peaceful and I was able to relax, especially after my long hike on Mt. Aso.

Negative: I didn't have a car, which made everything a little bit too difficult for me. I had to wake up extra early for my hike to make it to the station and then head to Aso City to take the bus up Mt. Aso. I didn't research well where you could access hiking trails to go up the mountain so that was my fault. There was only a samll stretch of road between the B&B and the train station that didn't have a sidewalk, but besides that, it was very doable. A car is not a requirement, but unless you like walking, this place could be a challenge.

Summary: Amazing and comfortable place to staty. Great if you have a car, but not a requirement.

Positive: The owner is very kind, if you have a car the location is great and the apartement had everything needed.

Negative: The walls are thin so you hear your neighbours well. But they mostly stayed quiet so it was ok.
