Positive: My family and I stayed at 4 different hotels during our 2 week trip to Japan, and this was the best! Koji and his wife (the owners) were very helpful with restaurant, onsen, and activity recommendations. The breakfasts were DELICIOUS!!! Check out my photos. I crave those breakfast everyday! There would fired bathtub is heavenly and I highly recommend asking Koji to get that going for you at least once while you’re there. It’s so relaxing. I love how comfortable the beds were and the aesthetic is beautiful. Koji basically built the house himself. All of the wooden window frames and the hemp walls are all made by him with his care and thoughtfulness. You can feel how much he cares about this space and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and will go back the next time I in Kyushu.

Negative: Honestly, nothing. I wished I could have stayed longer.

Positive: Very quite, forest starts behind the villa. Our host was quite aware and helped us for all little issues. It also has an oven which we used and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Positive: Very helpful host! Due to super heavy rain, we needed to change our plan of next spot. The host sent us several suggestions even we have already left! Dinner portion is more than enough. A really tasteful and satisfying dinner! And the house itself is perfect for family especially having kids. Lots of space for kids burning their energy! Perfect!

Positive: The host family was very nice and made us a delicious japanese breakfast. Furthermore they made great restaurant recommendations. The house is stylishly furnished and has a beautiful view to the valley and the Aso mountains.

Positive: We had an enjoyable stay in this Blue Sky and White Dragon . Though the 6 of us had to put up in 2 rooms the host Sakai San and hie wife made us most welcome. We booked in for dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed both the meals very much .The dishes were quite original and traditional. We are truely surprised that that the hostess can prepared those dishes. The highlight was the drum performance by Mr and Mrs Sakai' children . We wished we could have stayed another day to venture the surrounding area.
