Summary: Buddy and Keo were awesome hosts for this property. They rent out the lower level of their duplex to help supplement their monthly income and offset the high costs of living in Hawaii - I commend them for their ability to do this and make a living for their family. They were very accommodating to my elderly mother, who had many complaints and probably drove them crazy with her questions. For their patience and willingness to go the extra mile to help my mom with unloading/loading her car and worrying after her well-being, I am most grateful for their care. This is why the property gets three stars instead of zero. Our stay is not the usual visitor's stay in Honolulu. My mother (and her neighbor) was getting an extensive remodeling of their apartments and needed a quiet place to stay for 22 nights with their two small dogs. The property met their basic needs and the owners were accommodating about the dogs. But two major, critical conditions that were not clearly spelt out in the property description were: (1) the next door neighbor raises hunting dogs and has at least 5 or more large dogs crated in their garage area (which is in close proximity to the rental property) and (2) the property is located on an intense hill which is hard to walk up/down or park a car. If you're a visitor that will leave early in the morning and return at night for a place to just sleep - this place will be okay for you. However, if you plan on staying during the day when the owners are at work - bring some heavy duty ear plugs or headphones because every time I called my mother, there were large dogs barking in the background, loud enough I could hear them on the telephone. Due to these conditions, my mom and her neighbor (two elderly ladies) did not enjoy their long stay at this property. It ended up being an extremely stressful stay, ending in a very big, dramatic fight between the two ladies. I am sure this was a LONG 22-night stay for both the owners and visitors. This being said, Keo was most patient and understanding with these two elderly Asian ladies and treated them with utmost respect. She really is the epitome of sincere, genuine Hawaiian aloha. Thank you for being so kind to my mother and her friend!

Summary: The hosts were extremely nice, but the property was not what I thought it would be from the advertisement. Pictures would have been helpful.

Summary: The house was centrally located to everything and close to main roads but tucked in a very local neighborhood. The house was clean and accommodating. The owners were very nice and provided some great coffee and fruits as well as a guided trip to the farmers market.

Summary: Our hosts were fantastic, everything was taken care of. The hill to the house is the most memorable, I highly recommend staying here.
