Positive: It's a long review but has relevant info for visitors & tips :) The island is great. It's small but it has the main services because it's the capital of the islands around. It has a hospital, pharmacy, dentist, ATM and there are different shops and few restaurants. You can swim in bikini in the tourist beach and you can swim/snorkel in any other spot of the island always covered with some shorts & Tshirt. Veryyyyy nice reefs around the island, but ask a local what part is safer, specially if it's windy. Moosa is your man! Turtles and sharks can be seen without taking a boat elsewhere. It's a very safe island. I am a woman who travelled alone and felt like home all the time, day and night. Everyone is very kind and is always trying to help. About Oceanvine, I have only nice words. Since their warm welcome until the last detail of the staff. Saeed is the head and makes sure everything runs smoothly. He showed me the island when I first arrived and is available 24/7. Moosa is the master of the excursions and will find the way to make your dream come true. And may also climb a tree to give you fresh apples. Raju, Naeem and Saju (the chef) take care of you and the hotel all day long. Saju, your food is better than the local restaurants! Congratulations. A tip for the guests, ask him to cook local food, like "Mas huni" for breakfast. Just delicious! The hotel is not located in front of the beach, but it's just few steps from it. Perfect for families, couples and people travelling alone. If you need to work, the internet is fast enough to do it. Big and clean rooms & good breakfast. Better than other local hotels. I spent one week and it was not boring at all. There is always something you can do or an excursion to join. Note: Mahibadhoo is a local island, not a resort. Do not expect luxury. Instead, you will get to be with the maldivians, which is far more interesting.

Positive: I had a truly wonderful time at Oceanvine! As a woman traveling alone, you often think twice about where you go. Here, there is absolutely no need to worry – it feels safe, secure, and very well taken care of. The location is very clean and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The staff is absolutely outstanding – more about that in a moment. The rooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms. There is a small balcony, a large rooftop terrace, and a front courtyard where you can sit and, for example, smoke. There is also a dedicated area for the buffet and dining. The food is excellent and clearly prepared with care and effort. Now about the staff: the people there truly make everything possible for you. They are warm, polite, and always attentive, around the clock. Whether it’s about a trip, fishing, food, special dietary requests, an event, or small details – they are always available and take care of everything. Unfortunately, I got sick shortly before my departure, and this is when their care became even more remarkable. No matter what I needed to drink or eat, it was arranged. No matter the time, there was always medicine and genuine concern. They even stayed with me for hours at the hospital. This is not something you can take for granted, and it is deeply appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place and wish everyone an experience just as wonderful as mine!

Positive: Manager Said made this place one we'll always remember. We felt comfortable and cared for! Spacious rooms with everything we needed! Breakfast was a mini buffet, with a variety every day, and it was truly filling and delicious. They even asked about our preferences and made sure to accommodate them every morning. A wonderful, enjoyable dinner with fresh grilled fish and plenty of side dishes and appetizers. Reasonable prices for all services. A fantastic shark-watching excursion, where we had more luck than any other group. The hotel team is the best; I remember you fondly and hope to see you again!
