As you enter the front door, look right and your attention is immediately drawn to the large windows and sliders in front of you show casing the vast ocean. The sliding glass doors lead out to a huge elevated deck giving you a "treehouse" type feel. Here you can spend endless hours enjoying the cool breezes from the ocean, sipping on a morning cup of coffee or watching spinner dolphins and whales playfully swim by. During whale season, there may even be nights when you can hear the whales singing. Every evening you will see cruise ships pass by..... And do not forget to spend some time star watching. Summary: Loved our 5 day stay at the Oceanfront “Treehouse” at Hakalau cliffs, an excellent Hawaiian retreat with the sound of the surf and wind in the palm trees. A great location directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I got up early every morning to watch the sun rise and was rewarded to watch several baby whales swimming in front of the property. The house was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They quickly responded to our needs.
