This is one of the finest destinations in the Florida Keys. Recently renovated property! Our unit is Oceanfront with a view of the Atlantic Ocean! * The apartment is gorgeous, completely remodeled and updated with the finest kitchen granite, with a Tommy Bahama decor, and extremely well maintained. One of the best apartments at Oceanpointe. Our family also owns a one-bedroom unit located in this building and a 2 bedroom end unit in building 1. This property was recently remodeled and listed on VRBO.
Oceanpointe is located about 70 miles from Miami and about 90 miles from Key West. The property has 24 hour security and is completely gated. The resort offers a newly renovated enormous pool with a 14-person jacuzzi, private beach, fishing pier, snorkeling area, tennis courts, barbecue grills, picnic tables, marina, boat ramp, boat storage, on-site bar and more! Oceanpointe is one of the best maintained properties in the Florida Keys.
It's location is just minutes away from some of the finest restaurants in the Florida Keys, minutes away from a Dolphin encounter, live theaters, galleries, movies, and shopping. You can literally jump on your boat and within 3 minutes be off into the Atlantic Ocean. The resort is ideally situated to take advantage of some of the best dive sites, which includes John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park.
Our unit features a newly equipped kitchen, with blue bahia granite counter tops, and brand new stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms have full size showers and brand new vanities. 55" TV's and Blue Ray DVD players are located in each of the bedrooms and in the living room. New living room and dining room furniture with an extremely comfortable sofa bed that converts into a full queen size bed. The Master bedroom has an extremely comfortable King size bed and the Second bedroom has a lovely decor with an extremely comfortable queen size bed.

*(Please note that Oceanpointe has a beautiful serene mangrove conservation area, which depending on the time of year may grow and affect the view from the unit. This protected mangrove area has many different birds, including Osprey nests that can be seen from the balcony. Many renters have seen from our unit the hatchlings in the nest. The balcony has 2 chairs and fits up to 2 people so you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee.)

The maximum length of any boat in the marina is 28 feet. Summary: We just returned home from spending 6 nights in Tavernier at this beautiful apartment. Photos are 100% accurate. The view is breathtaking. It was so nice to wake up and look out to the ocean, the mangroves, and the blue sky. The apartment was exceptionally clean. Marcial is a great host - responsive, kind, and gave excellent recommendations. Beds were super comfortable. Nice closet space in the master BR, and lovely dressers in both rooms for clothes. Great quality bedding and towels (bath and beach). Bathrooms are beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware. In-unit laundry was so convenient. Check-in was a breeze - less than two minutes at the gate house. Ample parking. The Ocean Pointe property itself is really beautiful and well maintained. It was VERY quiet and peaceful. The pool area was great. The waterfront/beach area with lounge chairs is very nice. There are picnic tables, as well as outdoor tables and chairs near the dock.The cafe was not open while we were there (I think they were finishing up renovations), but we met the very nice lady that runs it and she said it will be re-opening soon. Tavernier is a really great location. Easy drive from Miami (took us less than 90 min). Close to Key Largo (just a few minutes away by car). About a 2 hr drive to Key West - a fun day trip. We feel very lucky to have found this gem of a place. It was a great vacation. 10/10 would love to stay again. We can't say enough good thing
