Positive: Exceptional Staff!! They will go over and beyond!!! We only cooked twice over our 9 day stay over, because the restaurant serves great food! Location Perfect! Units cleaned daily, beds are so comfortable!!! Bedrooms with stunning sea views!!! The Lodge offers so much!! Paradise!!!

Positive: In general everyone was very friendly and assisted immediately when we asked for something. Ocean Pearl offers a variety of activities, so it was nice that everything one wanted to do, was available on site or could be arranged.

Negative: Everything was good, except for a very, very slow restaurant with very few of the items available on the menu. I would say the restaurant was the biggest downer of it all. We were also under the understanding that there is a beach that one can use but it was only visable during low tide and then occupied by the local people. A lot of activity very early in the morning (2-5am), a lot of noise and people talking.

Summary: A very nice self catering unit. Friendly staff, overall nice and clean, I would visit again.

Positive: The Villas were spacious with plenty of room for our family of 5. We Loved the balcony and view of the sea from our villa. Also, the villas and rooms were beautiful crafted, showing real craftsmanship in carpentry and design. Boat trips to the islands with snorkeling and lunch was definitely a highlight! Sailing on the Dhow with Capitan Eddy was also lot of fun, he taught our kids about traditional sailing techniques and let them take turns piloting the boat which our kids loved! Lunch on these trips was excellent. Kitchen is well equipped for self catering but there is also a restaurant option that is basic but filling and affordably priced. Beds were super comfortable and bathrooms neat with ample hot water.

Negative: The property and experience in general was nice but a little underwhelming for the price. We felt a little isolated at the lodge and there wasn't much to do aside from the boat trips to the islands that had to be booked and paid separately. Beachside space is occupied by the fishermen and not really much of a place to swim or play. There also seems to be lots of competition in booking activities and boats that the lodge also charters with other hotels in the area. so best to book in advance and confirm, then reconfirm.

Summary: Generally it was a comfortable, quiet and relaxing place to stay.
