Positive: Beautiful remote location, amazing staff and hosting family that make you feel welcome despite language barrier. Do yourself a favour and sign up for the boat trip they offer! Snorkelling, fishing, swimming with bioluminescent plankton, all super fun and great value for money.

Negative: You need to remember the property is at the edge of a jungle and there is wildlife around. If you’re afraid of insects, lizards or bats frying around, I would rather stay somewhere else. Same if you expect 5-star hotel amenities- there is no hot water, neither AC. All worth it though!

Positive: This is an authentic Cambodian island experience. The property is managed by a wonderful local man and his family. They speak just enough English to take care of all business. Very generous people. This is a genuine island retreat that is difficult to experience in today’s travel. Remote location only accessible by long-tail boat. Very nice charismatic bungalows/property. Excellent food. A true adventure. I highly recommend

Positive: Everything. The location is amazing, it’s like you are on paradise. The hosts were amazing, made us feel like home. Let me tell you a story:- my girlfriend loves fishing and she really wanted to do it in afternoon. So the hosts took us to fishing even if that was not appropriate time, they just acted to make her day. How cute is that. I will remember this trip. Highly recommended.

Positive: The hotel is located in the calmest part of the island, so if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy your time off, this is the place to be. Every single staff member is so kind and will make sure you have an amazing stay. There is a restaurant on-site and all of the food they serve is delicious. There are regular boats from the hotel to Lonely Beach, so you can easily visit the rest of the island if that’s in your itinerary. I would strongly advise you pick up any essentials (e.g., soap, sunscreen, mosquito sprays) in Sihanoukville before you come to Koh Rong since there’s no shops nearby and even the ones in the more populated areas have limited selections. If you’ve traveled to this sort of location in the past, you’ll also be happy to hear that the mosquito nets are the best I’ve ever had on a vacation. Arkoun and we hope to come again🙏
