Positive: The view from the open air hotel dining room over the ocean. The wonderful helpful staff. The comfortable room. The idyllic surroundings. The perfect location next to the castle and opposite the Chief's palace.

Negative: Breakfast could be improved with more choice and ingredients. The deluxe family room could be improved with the addition of bedside table, chairs, pegs and more storage space and hanging space for clothes, with hangers that actually stay on the rail!

Negative: There are a few aspects that definitely need to be improved, especially for the price that is currently being charged. Firstly, breakfast times should be adhered to; 25 minutes later can disrupt schedules; we cannot understand why the beach bar closes at 11 p.m. on a Friday evening when guests are still relaxing there; moreover, it does not make a good impression when the restaurant staff are asleep;

Positive: The staff was great. The restaurant staff were excellent and accommodating.

Negative: The lizards were everywhere. I really didn't like the cat under our tables while we were eating. Also, I wish we had had a balcony view to look out at the ocean

Positive: Nice beach location, lovely rooms, with great bed & shower. The one morning g when it was quiet, when you could hear the ocean it was wonderful.

Negative: The service and communication not great and overall disappointed when it comes to value for money. It presents itself as a nice boutique sort of hotel and has all the vibes, look & feel and location. However I did specifically ask for a quiet room! Turns out it was a major festival weekend, with a ton of noise almost 24/7 (seriously it stopped at 4AM, started again at 8AM), from outside the hotel, but also inside the hotel, DJ’s and live bands. I felt as if my bed was standing in the middle of a dance floor in a club. They cannot change the festival, but I really do not understand why, they did not tell me there were no quiet rooms during the time I was booking because of the festivities!!! On top, one day housekeeping never showed up, and had to go ask for toilet paper, the next day the forgot to put a sheet on the bed. The bed is really good though!! The food is okay, but had much better in Ghana (especially breakfast, no fresh fruit is just disappointing). Don’t be fooled by the free access to the spa, as there isn’t really a spa, access to what… a room where they do treatments ?? So could be it was really just the wrong weekend for me to be here and that’s why it’s not meeting my expectations, but that could totally have been avoided if they had communicated.

Summary: Nice place, wrong timing and overall my disappointment could have been prevented.
