The host made everything easy from start to finish — super responsive and accommodating, especially with my early arrival request. I really appreciated the warm welcome and thoughtful touches. Positive: Easy to find in this quiet rural location. Comfortable and cosy. Big tv. Easy parking. local pub within walking distance (don't forget your torch!)

Negative: Low ceiling along the edges! Breakfast left for us was minimal and basic (we had bought our own with us anyway). Self catering arrangements again basic. Eating out, local pub within walking distance was slow to serve us with a table. Other eateries need to get in the car.

Positive: My second time here so everything I liked about it before remains. Very clean and a great example of maximising a small space. It’s also in a great location and ideal for an evening walk.

Negative: Only the sloping ceiling!

Positive: We loved this place. The barn offers everything you may need both for a short and a longer stay. The space is modern and perfectly renovated with craftsmanship. You can see that the owners really think of how to make a stay comfortable. Everything is at hand and easy to use. The barn is on a farm, so there are lots of animals around to watch, which was great. The owners are very nice people, Gary advised us where to go for a good beer and meal and where to go for a nice hike and gave us useful tips. The surrounding area (Chiltern's Nature Reserve) is a beautiful place perfect for nature lovers. We appreciated a small terrace from which we could watch local red kites. We stayed only 1 night but we're thinking of coming back for a longer time in the future.
