Positive: This beach cottage includes all the amenities that you coul ask for; cooking supplies, beach chairs, bbq grill, bycicles, etc. The beds are very comfortable. The deck and hammock in the backyard are great additions!

Negative: Although there isn't anything that you can do about it, the distance to the beach is the only drawback. Two bikes are available or you can drive (Oak Island charges for parking) or hike.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay!

Positive: The cottage had a nice layout, was decorated tastefully and was very clean. It had a very cute back patio although we didn't have time to enjoy it this trip. Having a code for the door was perfect, no hassle with getting a key.

Negative: I won't say I didn't like these things but suggestions that would possibly make this adorable cottage even more wonderful would be: 1. Provided linens didn't include kitchen tea towels and as a result we ended up using many more paper towels than really needed. I left one of my hand-painted tea towels and hope it can be used in the cottage for other guests. 2. None of us staying at the house packed a hair dryer thinking we would find one there. That would be an additional luxury for your guests. 3. The bed pillows are super, super thin. Possible a more comfortable bed pillow would be appreciated. Over all, I can not complain, the house was wonderful and I would definitely consider staying there in the future and recommend it to friends. 4. The front door had to be closed "just right" in order for the code on the exterior key pad to lock the door. At night, we had to close the door "just right" to get the deadbolt to lock. Possibly a minor adjustment could be made to avoid this frustration.

Summary: This was a really adorable and comfortable cottage and it was perfect for our stay.

Positive: Very well equipted! Kitchen has everything you need including an air fryer and an outdoor grill. Primary bathroom has a nice walkin shower with a rain head and regular shower head. There are also two bikes available making the trip to the beach much easier (you now have to pay to park a car at Oak Island beach access points}.

Negative: We were very happy with the house. The only negative was perhaps the distance to the beach. If you didn't have a bike it's a 3/4 mile walk to the nearest beach. As noted above parking for a vehicle isn't free and is also quite limited. If you do drive to the beach, try going out to the Point as there are more parking spots available and lots of room on the beach.

Summary: We had a great time. Love Oak Island!
