Another favourite is Piazza della Riforma (3-minute walk), the heart of the city. It is a beautiful square lined with excellent restaurants and cafés.
For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday which is almost on your doorstep in Via Carducci (2 minutes walk).
