Positive: The tranquillity. Front of house lad at the door of the restaurant Thursday 28th was brilliant! Despite being out in the difficult situation of having to explain that not all of the menu was available, he remained professional and unflustered.

Negative: The pillows were the worst I've ever used. So soft and uncomfortable, my wife and I both woke up with neck and shoulder pain. One of the kitchens had no gas. This was not mentioned when I purchased the dining package at check-in, despite it already being an issue the day before. We booked a table for 18;30. However, our reservation did not make it to the restaurant. We ordered a prawn sandwich, some bbq fries and onions rings at lunchtime. The bar was very quiet. They took an hour to arrive! That was after I chased them up. 4 other tables had ordered after us, most had eaten their food by the time we finally received ours.

Positive: Comfortable hotel, breakfast was great. Deluxe double room was nice, altough quite a walk from the reception. Bathroom was clean, mattress thick and comfortable.

Negative: Minor signs of disrepair in bathroom (e.g. sub par showerhead holder) and old looking carpet.

Positive: Breakfast was great. Room (double room) was decent and bed was quite comfortable! Pool was nice including small sauna area (altough pool was also sandy)

Negative: Room was okay but smelled heavily of musky/old chlorine and the bedsheets had holes in them. We stayed in a deluxe double later after our biking trip, which was (naturally) quite an upgrade.
