Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow and Loon Lodge; both cabins are listed on this website and are located adjacent to each other on the beautiful, 3300 acre Long Lake in Washburn county, the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin.' These well-appointed cabins provide a home away from home retreat without compromising any comforts.
Deer Hollow has five bedrooms and three and a half baths; Loon Lodge has five bedrooms and three and a half baths. Each cabin has two full kitchens one up and one down. Cabins can be rented individually or together for the Wisconsin family vacation of a lifetime.
If your traditional Wisconsin vacation has been threatened due to resorts going condo or sold to private owners, Northern Traditions is your answer.
Private five acre lot, log-cabin construction, large decks, spacious screened in porches, deep water docks, excellent fishing and water sports... these cabins were constructed with both the fishermen and the family in mind.
Each cabin comes with a Lund boat with 15HP motor and trolling motor. ( Note docks and boats are out of the water for winter by 10/15 each year.)

Summary: We absolutely loved this house and location. We came for Christmas to spend time with family. Our boys (and dads) spent most of their time ice fishing. We also enjoyed family meals and game nights each night. The house was beautiful and spacious. (We had a small issue with the oven but not enough to stop us for doing what we needed.) The second kitchen downstairs came in handy. Most importantly the house manager was so sweet and friendly! She made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival and even checked in during our stay via phone. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Summary: We spent our annual girls weekend (4 nights) at Loon Lodge. We have nothing but positive things to say and we highly recommend it. The cabin was lovely with a beautiful view of the lake. There was plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, 2 wonderful fireplaces, comfortable beds and it was super clean and tidy. The property manager, Laurie, was easy to work with and was available to answer questions. We also found towns to explore in the area, and especially enjoyed the combination local indie bookshop/yarn store in nearby Spooner.
