Positive: A one time experience staying in a heritage property. Amenities in room were quite good. Owner was very mindful and caring to give a good experience to guests. Location was very good with plentiful parking. A memory to stay for long.

Negative: It was quite dated. No matter how hard housekeepers working to keep it running.

Positive: Location and room were great. Loved the decor and the history in binders on the table. Nicely restored. Liked the coffee in room and the oatmeal packages.

Negative: Bed was too soft for us. Tub/shower needs a rubber mat as it was very slippery when showering.

Positive: This historic building was amazing. We had the Judge’s Suite, which was originally a ground floor parlor in this historic home. The original floors and woodwork were great and the suite was eclectically and thoughtfully furnished, even down to the teapot. Loved it.

Positive: The character of the building and contents! We loved that the rooms had a historical element to them and that the owner went to a lot of effort to preserve pieces of local history. The rooms were clean which is always appreciated.

Negative: The washroom shower and floor could use an update.

Positive: Location was great. Size of main living and bedroom area is very large and spacious. Appreciate the free coffee and really like having access to the parking lot right from our room.

Negative: The property is becoming increasingly run-down. That wasn't the first time we stayed but may be the last. The kitchen sink cold faucet wasn't working, so couldn't access cold drinking water. The drain in the bathroom also seems clogged, would not drain quickly. The closet doors were falling off and could barely be moved back and forth and was also jammed full of stuff so we couldn't hang anything like we did last time. I found an old ramen noodle bowl in the microwave that someone must have forgotten a few days ago. Also found it very noisy this time, had trouble sleeping or was woken up early due to noise in the other suites. Also, power and plug-ins are an issue in for this day, if certain outlets don't work it would be nice if power bars were provided.
