Summary: Wonderfully stylish boutique hotel 5min walk from the city centre, 10mins from the train station. Located on a surprisingly quiet street in the city centre, this hotel was a little bit of low key luxury for a recent work trip. Irene on reception was a truly wonderful start to my stay, so warm and welcoming, I was even personally shown to my room, which after years of staying in chain and corporate style hotels, was such a nice personal touch. The room was gorgeous, lavish and stylish, and HUGE!!! Bathtub in the bedroom was such a wonderfully decedent experience, it was used a few times. Comfortable and quiet, I had a lovely night’s sleep in lavish surroundings. The hotel is wonderfully quaint, with a cute little garden and little nooks to relax and read or have a drink. Restaurant menu was lovely and I was disappointed not to have been able to enjoy. Wouldn’t hesitate to return! Thank you

Summary: Very nice old hotel with charm. Very good beds and towels, great breakfast and service. One negative thing, fire safety and escape routes were neglected at some floors so we had to change room.This should be acytioned asap.

Summary: Very quiet location but close to the action. All staff extremely friendly and welcoming, happy to hold extra bags for us while we took a multi day tour and even had the bags in our room when we returned. Delicious breakfast and dinners. We'll definitely be back.

Summary: The location was good, 15 mins from the Waverley. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfy. The rate was really reasonable, given it was during the busiest time of the year. Weather was really warm, we left the windows open, and was privided with a fun, and it was quite pleasant to sleep.

Summary: I hesitated to write this review because I understand that not every property will look exactly as it does in the photos, and I am generally quite tolerant of imperfections. However, considering the price we paid and the ratings and reviews of Number 11 Hotel, I feel it is important to share our experience.My concern is not that the hotel is in an older building or that the décor is dated. Older properties can be charming when they are properly maintained. Unfortunately, our room felt neglected rather than simply dated. The carpets on the stairs, hallways, and.room were old and visibly stained, the mattress was uneven and uncomfortable, and the pillows were worn and lumpy.Our room was on the top floor, essentially in the attic, with a very low/sloping ceiling in parts of the room. It was also extremely hot, and we had to keep two fans running constantly just to make the temperature somewhat manageable.What disappointed me most was the difference between the impression given by the hotel’s star rating and reviews and the actual condition of the accommodation. Had the price reflected the condition of the property, I might have viewed the experience differently. However, for what we paid, I did not feel that the quality, comfort, or maintenance of the room was consistent with the price or with the expectations created by the hotel’s listing.I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I believe future guests should have a realistic idea of what to expect, particularly given the p
