Positive: - Great location overlooking Lake Atitlan. Close to the beach and center of town, where all the restaurants and stores are - Strong stable wifi - Access to amenities such as TV, stovetop, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and more - Very clean

Negative: - Low water pressure during our stay - Steep narrow stairs

Positive: We had a very pleasant stay at Nicolas House! The location was great and really close to the arrival point of the boats in San Pedro. The apartment was spacious and clean and communication was always quick. The hosts were also really kind in helping us to plan our activities at the lake :)

Negative: Nothing bad about the apartment itself but it was a little loud sometimes because of the restaurants nearby.

Summary: Highly recommend to stay here for visiting Lake Atitlan

Positive: Brando was so helpful at any moment. He brought us water, changed togas, bought us kitchen towels as soon as we asked. We loved being so close to the lake and restaurants. The music from the restaurant opposite may other you, but we liked it! Easy listening pop.

Negative: Needs a shower curtain and towels for the floor when it rains togo from outside to inside otherwise the floor gets slippery.

Positive: Everything- I couldn’t recommended Nicolas house more! It was beautiful, had a gorgeous lake view, and right on the lakefront near the restaurants. Brando (the host) even added little touches like an essential oil diffuser & went out of their way to bring me sugar, oil, salt, a lighter, and essentials. One of my favorite things is that booking this place supports the local economy and a local family (not going towards gentrification).

Negative: Nothing! I also felt so safe as a solo female traveler

Positive: Nicolas' apartment is nicely located in San Pedro, decently furnished, very comfortable. Host is very receptive and offer good advice on local sightseeing. location with nearby restaurants and agencies within walking distances, especially San Pedro being very well connected by shuttle to Antigua

Negative: A curtain for shower to keep bathroom dry would be nice addition

Positive: Great location. The host couldn’t have been nicer. When we arrived we had a hard time finding his place, and so he came down to get us which was very nice. Booking.com should’ve said where his place was located (right across the restaurant, “Sabina” - I think it was) Only two minutes away from where the transfer drops you off at. And he went out of his way to help us locate a restaurant that we really wanted to go to. Nothing was too much to ask.

Negative: I found a piece of paper in my bed signaling perhaps the bedding was not washed. It grossed me out. The shower was super slippery that I fell backwards and hit my head, just be careful. The view wasn’t all it was said to be… If you overlooked other rooftops and a lot of cables, then I guess it was OK.

Summary: Go, enjoy but just be aware & read other reviews with a grain of salt.
