Summary: This nice house was conveniently located and the friendly host made it super-simple for us to make the best of our time. We did not waste any moment waiting or having to deal with something we did not want to deal with. We would certainly go there again!

Summary: A peaceful, private cottage with a lovely countryside feel. Nice sitting area under the shade as well as full sun lounging area. The fig trees were alive with birds and butterflies eating the ripe fruits, on our visit mid-September. Everything we needed was provided, with good kitchen facilities and a comfortable lounge/reading area. Vero has a local bar but seems to be only open in summer months; the Post Office(located in Town Hall) does not provide stamps for the UK. Nearest supermarket is Spar about 20 minutes drive away towards Ajaccio, with a specialist Corsican food shop at junction village road with main road, where also a bar. Two circular marked walks from cottage/village, through lovely wooded slopes. Days out included Restonica Gorge; beach west of Ajaccio then lunch in town; drive south past Porticcio along coastal road to Cala D'Orzo then return via Propriano. Advice - we saw the owner just once, on arrival - check the Wifi router is in the house before she leaves (as she lives in Ajaccio). A lovely place which we would certainly return to.

Summary: Lovely peaceful cottage and well equipped. Lovely views to the sea and my husband enjoyed cycles in the surrounding mountains. Worth noting (although not important for our holiday) that it takes about 10-15 minutes to drive to the main road and there are no shops or restaurants in the village. If I was to suggest improvements - WiFi could be added and the shower perhaps updated. Generally though a wonderful and relaxing break in a beautiful setting.

Summary: we spent a very nice week in this well-equipped house. The view from the garden is just great, from sea to the mountains. Great for anyone seeking nature and calm surroundings. Vero is a very nice village, unfortunately without any shop or boulangerie (next supermarkt about 10 km away). There are some marked hiking trails starting directly in the village, Ajaccio and the coast is not too far, but also going to the maintains does not take long.

Summary: Our family stayed in Vero for two weeks. We were lucky to find this nice house with also these friendly hosts. Fortunately we could arrive some hours earlier than usual, this gave us one day more of vacation. The house is really well equiped with all the things you need for relaxing holidays. In the kitchen we found more than enough crockery and cutlery. Enough towels and sheets were also available. The house was in pretty good condition and the hosts offered us to ask for help whenever we need. Of course you need a car while staying in Vero. But the location is quite central so that you can visit many beaches around Ajaccio, adventure parcs (Vero, Vizzavona...), Via Ferratas and canyoning tours (which are very nice). swimming locations in the river Gravona, Vecchio, and many more are also accessible (of course by car) not far away from the house. In the evening you have a nice view from the garden down to the seeside of the Gravona Valley and to the hills around Vero. If we were looking for a place to stay in that area in the future, we would ask for this house again. We, a German family with one child, really enjoyed our holidays.
