Positive: It was meant to only be a layover but instead we got stuck in Amsterdam during the snowstorm and was fortunate enough to find this affordable hotel at 11:00pm (there were 255 other flights cancelled that day!). Only 10 mins from the airport by car. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was yum and had a lot of variety (dairy-free options too!). Staff was really nice and helpful. Thankful they had toiletries since our luggages were stuck at the airport. Overall great stay for an unplanned overnight stay!

Positive: Great location if you come to Amsterdam by car. Management demonstrated good care of guests- there was a Christmas party planned in the restaurant on the top floor- guests were informed and earplugs were offered. I didn’t hear any noise even without earplugs though! This level of attention is above expectations, in many other hotels you just have to swallow that properly is rented out for party. View of Amsterdam skyline was great!

Negative: Room service breakfast is pricey and huge for one person. I could have ordered one instead of not finishing two. I didn’t like that ceiling is bare concrete. Modern look doesn’t have to be a cheap look.

Positive: Lovely accommodating staff (we were stranded for almost a week straight). We had to change rooms multiple times, needed later check-outs, tons of toiletries supplies as our suitcase went missing. Stuff was friendly, understanding, and helpful above all else. On top of that, the breakfast was yummie, the bed was very comfortable, room was great.

Negative: I suppose this is rare, but in case you're staying for a longer period of time; the breakfast is identical every single day. Delicious, but it gets repetitive 6 days in a row! Additionally, some of the premier rooms (more expensive) could really do with some bathroom upgrades. Specifically our last room (2133) had a glued together shower head that was spewing in all directions.

Summary: A lovely unexpected home away from home.
