Positive: The breakfast was good with a nice selection of different styles of breakfast goodies (from classic bread, butter, jam and coffee, via eggs, cheese and fruit to bowl like ingredients) plus a breakfast menu with assorted omelettes and the like. The location is perfect for people arriving by train, as the hotel is on the same street as the train station.

Negative: The coffee was from a big machine and could not keep up with the rest of the breakfast. The bathrooms are a bit outdated but perfectly usable (I prefer walk in showers to bathtubs). All in all, the price seemed a bit high.

Summary: It was comfortable, with a good breakfast at a slightly too high price.

Positive: Location was good for the city but as my mobility is not as good as it was, the hotel was further down the hill than I thought. We were able to get a bus back to the station from the stop very close to the hotel. Check in was quick and the lifts were opposite the check-in desk. Our bedroom was a short walk to the lift. Bedroom was large and light. Only downside was the shower over the bath but we were only there for one night so it wasn't a problem for us but it would have been. The breakfast was plentiful with so much choice for either hot or cold food. I had a gorgeous omelette with cheese that was freshly made. Poffertjes and two other meals were available from the breakfast menu. I also had a lovely meal in the evening.

Negative: I do not like showers over the bath as I find it very difficult to climb into a bath these days. This was not a problem on this occasion as we were only at the property for one night.

Summary: Very comfortable hotel to stay for the railway station and the old heart of the city
