Stunning 1830s Georgian home in upscale Islington - completely remodeled in June 23. Primary bedroom with separate dressing area and luxury en suite with walk-in rainshower, two further double bedrooms and office/ 4th single bedroom, full bathroom with tub/ shower. Nestled in a quiet leafy terrace on one of London's most sought after addresses, this is the perfect base to explore the best that London has to offer: a peaceful, safe and elegant retreat in stunning Islington with all the comforts of home and more - perfectly connected to everything!
The layout: four bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, the primary with access to the garden and the office/ 4th single room with access to the street. The primary bedroom has its own en suite, the other bedrooms share a full bathroom a few steps up on the half-landing. The raised ground floor is a stunning, imposing open plan space comprising living room, dining room and kitchen that spans the entire length of the house, with 10 foot corniced ceilings, statuary marble fireplace and myriad original features complemented by graceful interior design and top of the line fixtures. The living room has a 55" smart TV; the kitchen has a 48" induction range cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and new dishwasher, with French doors leading out to a balcony with stairs down to the large garden surrounded by greenery and birdsong - truly a haven in the city. The owners have lived all over London and would never choose anywhere else - it's easy to see why!
Angel/ Islington has everything you could wish for for a fantastic trip - world-renowned fringe theatre at the Almeida and Little Angel, dance at Sadler's Wells, 3 cinemas for independent movies and blockbusters, plus hundreds of boutiques, salons, galleries, restaurants and more dotted along upscale Upper Street and quaint Camden Passage (also famous for its antiques market). For some green space, Islington Green is a couple of minutes' walk, lots of playgrounds a short walk away, Highbury Fields 15 mins walk (with a huge playground and tennis courts). The Regent's Canal is a couple of minutes' walk with stunning canal side pubs, it's also a great place to walk, jog, ride bikes, feed the ducks, or simply stroll down to East London whilst watching the houseboats - Broadway Market, London Fields and Victoria Park are all within walking distance. Angel and Highbury tube give ideal access to the rest of London, you can even go to Paris in 2 hours from Kings' Cross, also a short walk from the flat! King's Cross itself has also been recently regenerated with fantastic restaurants, shops and open spaces to explore. Exmouth Market is another great local street with more shops and restaurant 15 mins' walk away. Covent Garden, Shoot and the West End are all 30 mins walk or 15 mins by bike or tube, and Shoreditch and the East End the same distance in the other direction.

Summary: The house is on a street of row houses, quiet just about all the time. It's a short walk to a Tube station, to a lovely stroll along the canal and to some really good pubs and restaurants. If you are a shopper, that's close too, on some sweet cobblestone streets. The house has everything you need, including a good-sized living-dining room. We were six people and very happy.

Summary: This flat was in a quiet street of row houses just a couple blocks off a major road so close to shops and restaurants. A few areas such as the front window could use some cleaning and refreshing but overall the house was clean. All the bedrooms are on the lower level and the bathroom down there is through the largest bedroom. The other guests ended up going upstairs for the bathroom. Since there were four of us we ended up using the tiny office room as a bedroom and the lady who slept in there said the narrow fold up bed was comfortable but she left the door open so as not to feel claustrophobic in such a small room. We walked to the Angel tube station and ate in all the restaurants on Camden Passage. The Austrian restaurant was very good and Fredericks was outstanding for an elegant meal reasonably priced.

Summary: Our family of six had a great few days in London, two of which, had never been to London before. Lots of running around! Sarah's place was in a quiet neighborhood easily accessible by Tube and had great cafes, breakfast places, etc a short walk from flat. A lovely place to come back to each night. Summary: We had a great stay in this flat and it worked out perfectly for our family. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the office space offered flexibility with the pack and play they provided too. The main floor is nicely decorated but comfortable and the outdoor space was nice to get some fresh air (when it wasn't raining!). The location is lovely - super close to all the great shops and restaurants along Upper St, Essex Road and Camden Passage, and about an 8 min walk to Angel tube plus tons of buses. It's also right next to the canal for nice walks. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: Sarah's apartment was perfect for two couples visiting London. Large and well-appointed rooms on the main level with space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Large garden behind the apartment. Two bedrooms downstairs, one with ensuite. The second large bedroom has a private bath on the main level. There is a small third bedroom on the lower level that would be good for a single or child. But maybe the best part is the location. Islington is full of restaurants, shops, bars, and bakeries. Check out pedestrian-only Camden passage, lined with cafes and boutiques. The canal walk is a 10 minute stroll away. The apartment is on a very quiet street, but just a 5 minute walk to the High St and bus stop downtown, 10 minute walk to the tube. Sarah was very responsive when we had some minor questions. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
