Outdoor Lido Our historic outdoor lido, built in 1934, is filled with natural spring water and contains no chemicals. It is available free of charge to all hotel guests. Positive: The hotel staff are very friendly, they couldn’t have done more to make my visit comfortable. The room with a balcony was nicely renovated , clean and warm with an extra king size bed. Food in the restaurant was very good.

Negative: There were no any hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels or clothes.

Summary: Feels like home from home.

Positive: Great location. Short walk into Matlock Bath. Friendly staff. Nice room with large mirror. Outside lido was great if you like cold water swimming.

Negative: Outside of hotel extension a bit tired. No marmite with breakfast.
