Positive: The Old Hat Shop is a beautiful little cottage which has been thoughtfully refurbished and we had a very cosy and comfortable stay here. The kitchen was small but fully equipped with everything we needed and the sitting room is a lovely space for relaxing in the evenings. Beds are comfy and the outdoor space is sweet. A good jumping off point for exploring the area and some good walks from the house too.

Negative: There is a bit of road noise but it was much quieter at the weekend.

Positive: Homely atmosphere of whole house, games to play, books. Didn't have the best of weather so they helped. Summerhouse in little garden would be lovely (in summer). People of Cromford very welcoming, used many of their establishments, Boat inn to name one ( recommended).

Negative: My wife and I had a little difficulty with the stair crossing to the bathroom. Not a dislike as such. Just our age !

Positive: The house was beautifully decorated, with each room having its own subtle theme. Super cosy, especially with the log fire in the evenings. The garden and outhouse were perfect for relaxing outside. Great location too with Cromford Mills near for scenic walks, and there are local pubs, shops, and a chip shop just around the corner. Dog friendly, which was a big plus

Positive: Lovely well appointed house. It felt welcoming the minute you stepped through the door. We did think it may be a bit of a squeeze with 5 adults and dogs but it wasn’t in the slightest. It had everything we needed and more.

Negative: Nothing not to like. We would all happily stay again.

Summary: A Lovely, well appointed homely house that catered for all our needs and more . We all agreed we will definitely return.
