Positive: Spacious layout, well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds.

Negative: Sadly, the essentials of wifi and water pressure were unreliable, and no internet connection nor Netflix, nor places to go locally made for a limited holiday. I hadn't realised how far it was to get anywhere, and the site was across the A1 (M), to any town. There was only one cafe nearby and it was attached to a playing field.

Summary: Mixed.

Positive: - the amount of blankets - the additional portable heater - parking - little welcome pick was cute

Negative: - the property was 4 degrees when we arrived - the heating was messed up due to the electricity tripping - you can’t run more than three appliances (e.g kettle, microwave and fireplace) otherwise the electricity trips - the landlord has a very silly heating schedule for the winter - 15 degrees is not suitable! so we had to keep changing it. - due to the above, the water froze outside, so had no water. We had to melt the ice around the stop tap then put an oven glove around it to prevent it from freezing again - knives were blunt - pillows are like pancakes - the decking in the winter is a health and safety hazard, we were slipping and sliding all over the place, also the main outdoor light didn’t work which didn’t help - A map before visiting the park as to where the lodge was would have been useful, luckily we found the site map when we came through the main gates - A lot of the crockery was dirty (especially the plastic ones) - bathroom shower, again health and safety hazard, the whole temperature gauge came out of the wall - Wi-Fi password didn’t work (possibly due to the electrics tripping) eventually found the original password underneath the router - would recommend a heat alarm in the kitchen, not a smoke alarm - extractor fan above the job didn’t work, may need a new fuse?

Summary: I’m sure it’s lovely in the summer, but wouldn’t advise visiting in the winter
