Independent apartment on an open space of 41 m2 on the 1st floor of a pretty very old stone house, overlooking the entrance to the first pool. At 30 m you will be on the port with its quay fishing boats, its cafes with terraces where you can have lunch facing the trawlers.

with direct sale with a daily supply of fresh fish and the possibility of having seafood platters prepared.
This charming apartment, completely renovated in 2018, is very well equipped. It preserves the spirit and the history of this 16th century residence while benefiting from the best services. It is designed for 2 people, (possibility of a baby cot on request).

Summary: Port-en-Bessin in general, and this property specifically, is a great place from which to visit all the the D-Day memorial areas. It is located on the border between Omaha and Gold beaches, so that puts all of the main invasion beaches in easy reach. It’s a short drive to the Omaha beach memorial, the American Cemetery, and the Overlord Museum. Bayeau and Caen are close by, is is the last remaining German canon battery on Omaha Beach which still has its canons in place. We spent three nights at the property. Jean-Luc was very helpful and the place was immaculate. A great kitchen area, comfy bed and lots of history. Port-en-Bessain is a working fishing port, and if you’re there at the right time of day you can take advantage of the fresh catch of the day being unloaded. Lots of great restaurants and an amazing Boulangerie. It’s a 12 out of 10.

Summary: This is the cutest apartment. It has everything you need and is in a great location. The bed is comfortable and a great shower. There are tons of restaurants in town all very close. This is a great place to stay to see the Normandy beach sights. One thing to note is that there is no laundry facility, although the listing says coin machines. Probably not a big deal for most, but we were there as part of an extended trip and deliberately chose places with laundry facilities. Also, a rack or shelf in the shower for shampoo and soap would be great-but a very small thing.
