Find nature and serenity between lake and mountains, 5 minutes from the villages of La Balme and Sillingy and 20 minutes from the historic center of Annecy and its lake.
Stay in a 19th century farmhouse, completely renovated and offering great comfort. The owners who have lived for years on the three continents of Africa, Asia and America have brought back items that give bedrooms and the home a personalized decoration inviting to travel. The house was designed to offer a warm and welcoming setting, it was the project of departure of the new owners of the places since January 2018.
The Farm has stone walls 80 cm thick, well insulated and which protects from the heat of summer. In winter, excellent insulation and underfloor heating provide great comfort.
The region - Annecy and the Alps
It takes a minimum week or more to discover the region. To cite a few avenues of discovery:
• the old town in Annecy, the Venice of the Alps, the surrounding mountains with the Aravis massif, the Bauges or even excursions around the lake, on the Semnoz.
• proximity to Switzerland for a day trip, Geneva and the shore of Lake Geneva to Montreux.
• The south shore of Lake Geneva, with Yvoire, Thonon or Evian.
• Closer to La Ferme de La Balme, the Bauges region, the farm visit and regional gastronomy.
• Sports activities abound: hiking, climbing, sailing, paragliding, mountain biking, or simply swimming in the purest lake in Europe.
Practical details:
Provision of the kitchen for meals that can be taken on the terrace or in the living room / kitchen in case of rain.
Preferably, arrivals (after 4 p.m.) and departures (before 11 a.m.) are on Saturdays and the rental is scheduled for the week, however see the dates available for shorter reservations.
The owners occasionally come to take care of the garden or the property, without disturbing the tenants of course (pool maintenance, lawn, vegetable patch).
To relax:
A large terrace, a 6000 m2 garden, a vegetable patch and its greenhouse where the owners practice permaculture, a swimming pool made available (certain rules apply).
Reception: on arrival the owners will give you all the necessary information, advice on going out in the region, wifi access, etc.
Security deposit: a security deposit of € 500 euros is required on arrival - it will be refunded at the end of the stay.
No public transport near the farm, a car is recommended to visit the region.

Two single beds in 90 for this room with a Savoyard chalet atmosphere, decorated in the colors of the region.

Note that some rooms in the house are inaccessible (office - laundry room) and that the owners occasionally come to look after the garden or the property, without disturbing the tenants of course (pool maintenance, lawn, vegetable patch).

Summary: Whole family really enjoyed the week at this lovely property set in beautiful surroundings. The house was very well equipped with everything that we needed. The garden is particularly beautiful and thoughtfully designed with nature in mind. The location is close to Annecy, but hidden away from the crowds during the busy summer holidays. Christian and Sylvie were very welcoming and helpful.

Summary: Loved everything about our stay! Great house and exactly according to description. Peaceful, quiet, calm and comfortable with amazing views. The kids loved roaming around in the very large backyard. Close to everything you might need and want to visit: Epagny shopping centre, Annecy city centre and beaches, multiple mountain areas (Le Semnoz, La Clusaz, Le Tournette, Col de la Forclaz, Mont Blanc), Lac du Bourgette and Aix-Les-Bains. The owners are very welcoming and greatly helped us out in time of need. We could not have felt more welcome. Highly recommend!

Summary: We very much enjoyed our stay here. The garden was particularly enjoyable, surrounded by nature, peaceful and also great views. When it’s hot outside stepping into the house, which remains cool at all times due to its thick walls and shutters, is so enjoyable! The master bedroom with its dressing room and huge en suit bathroom is exquisite. The owner was an extremely nice man who took the time out to meet us at the property to show us around. The location is also perfect for trips to Annecy where the lake is stunning. Thank you to the owners for the use of their house - we had a very relaxing holiday.

Summary: Although we were sadly not able to stay due to lack of passports our friends still visited this holiday home. They were more than pleased with it and would love to book this home again. The location was convenient but far away to enjoy wildlife and wonderful views. The pool was nice and the interior was full of interesting artworks from the owners travels, which was perhaps the reason for the security cameras in all of the communal spaces. The owners kindly let one couple check in early due to a disastrous complication with luggage etc. due to the travel chaos at Manchester airport. Although you should arrive after 4pm. The area is nice and there is lots to do in Annecy. Great stay would recommend.
