Positive: Family atmosphere. A lovely family runs this homestay. Simplicity and kindness. For those who deserve this human connection without seeking the luxury of comfort.
Negative: Nothing, but a mosquito net would be a plus. A few improvements, like places to store clothes, would also be nice.

Positive: Loved my stay here at NATA! Lala and her family are the absolute best. Always fun hanging out with them and they took good care of all their guests! They organized a fun boat tour to the beaches and also gave recommendations for other things to do on the island. The meals here were sooo good as well. They have scooter rental, laundry service, and you can borrow the snorkeling gear. Accommodation here is very basic, but if you come with the right expectations you will enjoy and feel like part of the community. The (shared) bathroom has a squat toilet and bucket shower. The bedroom has a fan. The home is spacious and everything was kept clean. :)
Negative: Unfortunately, my bed wasn’t very comfortable. I could feel the wire springs in the mattress. The other guests I spoke to said their beds were comfortable, so must’ve just been a problem in my room. Hopefully they can add some padding to that bed. I also would recommend they add a mosquito net as I got bit some during the night.

Positive: The hospitality and food of the family is UNBEATABLE!!!! They are doing everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Food is delicious and plentiful with a good variation to choose from, coffee/tea, fruit and sweet cookies are always available for free. I have asked for a beer at night, but the Bintang was finished, they even drove to town to buy some new ones!! They have scooters to rent, organise boat/ snorkeling trips to amazing beaches nearby, they can arrange pick ups by car from/to airport, Luwuk, Paisu Pok, Salakan, Tobing (for island crossing between Banggai and Tobing on Peleng island), where ever you want to go they find a solution for very reasonable prices. From the terrace a very nice view over the bay between the islands with a nice coral reef in front of the accommodation with a lot of clownfish and even Banggai cardinal fish. I have stayed for 5 nights, but it was hard to leave and I will come back. Accommodation is very basic, don’t expect a luxury room/bathroom, but it’s very clean and this is Banggai!

Positive: We absolutely loved our stay here. The host family are incredibly welcoming and super sweet. A big thank you to Lala, Ibu and Pak for your great hospitality :))) They offered us a great snorkeling package as well as transport to town for an additional cost.
