Positive: For such a good price we were staying in a tranquil stunning riverside property surrounded by beauty and nature. At night we listened to the Hyraxes and Colabus monkeys. the staff were amazing and the food was good local fare. The bedding and toiletries were 5star. Only remember a head torch as reading at night isn't possible with the current lighting. I just loved our stay even though we didn't choose to do the adrenaline filled activities on offer we sat in gardens and enjoyed the scenery. It's a nice long walk to the rooms but that comes with being spread out along a river. Sun a fantastic place with so much atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff.

Negative: Bedside lights, Otherwise everything was just lovely. Make sure you know you are going to a traditional wooden fishing lodge nestled in nature, it is what you get. And it is local food. Great value for money

Positive: The property is very well kept, especially the grounds, the garden and the nature trail. Staff are very courteous and friendly.

Positive: I had the pleasure of staying at Naro Moru River Lodge and it was a truly refreshing experience. The lodge feels peaceful, surrounded by nature, with the river flowing right through the property it’s the kind of place where you instantly relax. The rooms are cozy and clean, and waking up to the sound of birds made mornings special. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. The food was fresh and tasty, and the views of Mt. Kenya made every meal memorable. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, connect with nature, and still enjoy great comfort. I would happily return again I hope my family joins next time.

Positive: This place is a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary near Mt Kenya. Get one of the farther rooms with fireplace overlooking the river. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gracious. You can hire a guide to take you on a Mt. Kenya excursion - everything from a nice relaxed day hike at whatever speed and distance you can manage to a multi-day trip to the summit. Our guide was George. He is experienced, knowledgeable and a great conversationalist.

Negative: The food was fine, healthy and plentiful but nothing to write home about in comparison with some other places we have stayed at on our trip.

Positive: Extremely friendly staff, who were always helpful and quick to resolve any minor issues. Comfortable cottages at very reasonable price with beautiful location and excellent restaurant.

Negative: Kitchen equipment was rather ancient, but still serviceable. We wanted to hire the mountain bikes to do the trail which looked great, but all of them had punctures.
