Positive: The host was very friendly, helpindlg us a lot. He responded within 2 minutes every time when we needed some help and texted him on Whatsapp, all through our stay. He stopped a tuktuk when we go out, and drove us to the station when we leave. Also, the room was very nice. We felt safe and had a comfortable time.

Negative: There were a few disappointments during our stay, but the host tried hard to fix or contemplate them. For example, our dinner was served a little late, so he added extra rice for free. Also, the Wi-Fi did not work for our smartphones, but he tried his best to fix it. I suspect it was rather our smartphone’s problem. I appreciate his hospitality. Oh, and food was a little expensive.

Summary: I doubt that I could have chosen a better place than this in Mathura. Overall, I recommend it!

Positive: What I liked: The room itself looked nice and had big floor mats, which were a good touch. The host was really humble and polite – I appreciated that. She was able to adjust the early check-in for me.

Negative: What I didn’t like: The room was smaller than I expected. The water in the washroom was very salty – not great for bathing or brushing. There was only one window, and it faced the common gallery. The single layer curtain didn’t fully cover it, so people walking by could easily see inside – not much privacy. Since it’s a homestay, there’s no reception or front desk for help. There was no electricity for more than 6–8 hours. So, no AC or TV during that time. The stairs become super slippery when it rains. There’s no lift, so stairs are the only option. I actually slipped twice and hurt my leg. A family lives on the ground floor, and I had a few uncomfortable run-ins with a guy who seemed quite rude and unfriendly. The shower tap in the washroom was really hard to move – felt like it was stuck. The food was expensive and room rent also felt expensive for what was offered, especially considering the location, surroundings, lack of privacy and other issues

Positive: The hotel is centrally located in Mathura and the team went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were very clean and food was good too. The hotel personnel were amazing.

Negative: You're never really going to escape the noisy streets of India, so don't expect too much quiet in the rooms.

Summary: Highly recommended! Very good value for money.
