Summary: Lovely ryokan. We didn’t take the meals, and they were served in a dining area, not in the room. But the staff informed us of the early closing hours of locals restaurants and izakaya, and they booked tables for us at both, which was very helpful. They picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop on arrival/departure. The room was spacious, very clean, with a large window looking out over the forest. I really loved their onsen which is on a balcony, looking at forest and the night sky, it was a mild temperature, not as hot as many onsens, but very nice. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Onsen hopping in Kurokawa Onsen was one of the trips highlights.

Summary: Staff are very polite, especially the staff at the restaurant, it was a great experience of the Kaiseki. Room is clean, and nice with the onsen. Staff are very helpful and cheerful.

Summary: Food was expensive but worth it. Bath is room was excellent. Shared bath was mostly empty (male) and serene. 음식은 비쌌지만 그만한 가치가 있었음. 객실 내 목욕 시설은 훌륭했고, 공용 목욕탕(남성)은 한산하고 고요한 분위기였음.

Summary: This hotel services have always been attentive and of high quality. But I think Onsen closed at 2100 is too early, it is not enough time to enjoy Onsen when finished dinner

Summary: Kurosawa Hot Springs is well known in Japan for its good quality hot spring water. This inn is located at right in middle of town and parking is very convenient. They have good quality food for dinner and breakfast. It is not 5 stars but it is pretty good cost performance. Besides it’s main hot spring bath, they have 2 private baths if you want privacy or have tattoos. Room is small and very average but it has a great view of mountains.

Summary: Outstanding service and clean/comfort rooms. I was a bit concern before I booked Nanjyoen due to the fact that there weren’t many reviews on this property and it completely beaten my expectation. We booked as a family of 4, the room was big enough to fit all of us, there is also a big window in the room where you can have a clear view on the town of Kurokawa. We also booked dinner and breakfast with them, the kaiseki dinner was really good and served in the dining room. Another thing I liked on the property is the onsite onsen. It has an indoor bathing for men and women, also few outdoor bathing to choose from. We had a very relaxing time in Nanjyoen and would definitely recommend to people traveling to Kurokawa Onsen town.
