Positive: The location is peaceful, only there’s monkeys that make noice in the roof.

Negative: It didn’t have an air con and it was hot also there wasn’t a wardrobe to hang clothes in.

Negative: The room would be more comfortable with a wardrobe to keep ones belongings and a functional shower. The braai area would also work better with a shelter, we had to braai our meet under the rain

Positive: The old farmhouse is beautiful and was exceptionally clean. The view is stunning. Beds were super comfortable and the main bathroom is newly renovated. The owner gave clear instructions per WhatsApp and even assisted with info of restaurants nearby. Although we arrived we were friendly met and small touches like rosemary leaves were appreciated.

Negative: The owner demanding R250 for cleaning after we have checked out, basically l should have cleaned the place We made sure all the dirty dishes are in one place, all rubbish in the trash can Not sure if l was supposed to make beds, mop the floors and clean the yard Big turnoff

Positive: It was such a beautiful area to spend the weekend. Not too far from our home, but far enough to be in the middle of nowhere. The view from the porch was just incredible and we saw so many animals. We slept comfortably and the hosts were just amazing.

Positive: We enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and the hiking trails that were available. We actually hiked up the mountain without realising it and got to experience scenery beyond our wildest expectations. We also encountered wild animals - zebra and buck, closer than we expected. Aaron and the other employees on the premises were very friendly and courteous and were willing to help if required. During our stay, we were the only guests.

Negative: There was no swimming pool, restaurant or shop on the premises. After our long hikes and considering the extreme temperatures during our stay, it would have been nice to have been able to swim. To reach other destinations for shopping or other activities, we had to drive quite a distance.

Summary: We truly enjoyed our stay despite the lack of amenities. We experienced nature to its fullest extent
