Positive: I loved the view, we could see the northern lights! The snow and the forest near the place made it special!

Negative: The location was nice, but we ran into a few functional issues. The air conditioning was too loud to leave on at night, which made sleeping difficult. We also found the water quite limited, and the firewood provided was too damp to start a proper fire!

Positive: Very nice cabin, 15min drive from city center. No one around and you feel like you are in nature. Pick-up from airport included. And everything to cook is available (salt, oil…)

Negative: Toilets are incinerator, so you need to use a bag that is flushed and burned, and there is a limited amount of water for shower. It’s only pick-up from the airport, not round trip as described.

From the moment we arrived, we felt we weren’t just stepping into a beautiful accommodation, but into a small haven where genuine hospitality is part of the experience. We want to give special thanks to Kati, whose welcome was absolutely impeccable. She greeted us with such kindness that the cold outside instantly felt like just part of the scenery. Her warmth and attention set the perfect tone for our holiday. We also want to highlight Henri, who wasn’t just our driver, but practically our logistics guardian angel rides to the city centre, punctual pick-ups, and the airport transfer where, thanks to him, our only real concern was making sure we didn’t forget our gloves. His professionalism and friendly attitude made everything noticeably easier. A heartfelt thank-you as well to Aleksi, always ready to help. His support with the small details the ones that truly shape a great experience, was essential to making everything run smoothly. It has been an extraordinary vacation, the kind that leaves you smiling even days after returning home. We felt cared for, supported, and genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. We will definitely be coming back. And hopefully next time, we’ll be able to enjoy it with the whole family, because a place like this deserves to be experienced together.

Positive: A cosy, modern cabin style accommodation just out of Rovaniemi. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. The small kitchen was well equipped with the basics. Bed was comfortable. Heating, air conditioning and wifi worked well. The views of the northern lights are spectacular.

Negative: It is really small, very little space for 2 people and luggage. Ok for a night or 2 but after 3 nights we were ready to have more space. Toilet is not fun, you have to put a type of bag in the toilet before going so it flushes properly due to the type of system it is. The water tank gets topped up daily but is really only enough for 2 quick showers.

Positive: I think booking needs to add 11 to its rating because how great my stay was. The cabin has nice windows, so you can have a nice view, there are different heating options, the air conditioning, electric heaters (in the main room annd toilet) and the fire place. Additional to that the bed was very comfortable, the smart TV allows you to see things such as Netflix, etc, you can cook inside in the electric kitchen. The nice thing was that additional to all of that, outside the cabin there is a fire camp, you can cut your wood logs, make a fire and also cook there, so I preferred to cook outside as it was nicer. Inside the cabin you can also hear the wind blowing, which is also relaxing. I don’t remember the last time I have been welcomed and treated so well, they took care of me like I was another member of their family. Just to give an example, the host Aleksi, after picking me up from the airport took me to the supermarket, then it was late and I couldn’t buy any alcohol, but when we arrived to the cabin he brought some beers, then he helped me the other days to make a fire (I learned his tips and then I could do it alone), also one day I used the private sauna from his house, also other day gave me a free ride to the Santa Claus village as well as some other additional drinks or like when he brought an axe so I can chop wood logs. All of this small details, friendliness, kindness, made me feel super comfortable. So you get way more than a room and things you might not get anywhere else in Rovaniemi.
