Negative: Bedside lamp was not working. I had to get a globe from the lounge and fit it to the bedside lamp. TV did not have any local channels to choose from.

Positive: The area was lovely, very genteel! The house was beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay - all very clean and tidy. Bedroom and bed small and simple, but good enough. We enjoyed exploring the neighbourhood, and the location was convenient to public transport.

Negative: Communications were very formal, with lots of rules, and no personal contact.

Positive: Our stay was only overnight, but we enjoyed the quietness of the surrounding houses. We felt safe parking our car on the street and we were not disturbed by any overnight noises. The house was beautifully decorated in a minimalist look, but felt homely and welcoming. We were able to have a late lunch and breakfast in the kitchen area and enjoyed the natural light coming in from the windows. The lawns needed mowing, but with an overall feeling of the garden and house was peaceful and restful. The whole area was peaceful and calm and quiet and we enjoyed the stay in this family home.

Negative: I didn't realise that our room did not have a shower and that we had to use a common area shower. We were lucky that we were the only guests there. So privacy was not a problem.

Summary: Peaceful calm location with beautiful tree lined streets.

Negative: I would like to have someone actually come to host us, to show us around our room and how to check in instead of through email. But the email with all the instructions is very detailed and straightforward to understand.
