Positive: We picked this property for its location close to the Vatican museums. It was great for that. Even the guide was impressed. There was a pharmacy, a supermarket, several ATM's and numerous restaurants very close by.

Negative: The location was on the 5th floor of an apartment building on a side street with a very non-descript entry. They sent photos but it could be hard to find. While it did have an elevator, as is often the case in Europe, it was only small enough for luggage, so guest got to hike up 5 flights of stairs. The host was not very conversant in English but thought that he was. The check in was haphazard with no apparent procedure - a little taste of Italy. The host was clearly very well-meaning but overly attentive to the point of intrusion. We still get texts from him. We had an early pickup for the Vatican, and it was "before" the normal hours for this B&B. They made no offer to adjust for us but showed us how to self-cater, like an AirB&B. The room was clean and homey but dated. It was very small and the bath was still smaller. We only "camped" for one night, so it was tolerable but not desirable.

Positive: If you are looking for comfort, warmth and an Italian hospitality then you are in the right place! From the moment we booked our stay with My Bed Vatican Museum, Ernesto and Paula have been our guardian angels. They communicated all the time with us from the moment we landed at FCO and until we checked in. They are both genuinely warm, friendly and super helpful! Let me tell you about the cosy and beautiful property: - Location: fantastic! Literally right across from the Vatican like less than 10 minutes walk! And if you buy tickets that let you skip the line, you are there in 5 minutes, you basically go up the stairs from the street you are on and cross the road! Ernesto will also help you buy the tickets from a tourism office up the street from him! The office has multilingual agents! Also the location is 5 min walk to a local market ( Mercado Trionfale) that is basically a local market full of vegetables, fruits, Italian ham and cheese, Italian street food, sandwiches, pastries, coffee and many more Italian goodies at a very affordable prices! - Comfort and cleanliness : This bed and breakfast is very clean and roomy, the room fit our family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids). The bed is comfortable. The bathroom has a nice shower and amenities that are changed daily ( shampoo & body wash packets) and the room is tied up and cleaned daily. - Safe: The location is very safe. I have not felt unsafe at any moment. - Breakfast: you get a nice continental breakfast included in your stay. - Awesome hospitality: Again, Ernesto and Paula are awesome hosts. You will learn a lot from them about Italy and they will refer you to very nice authentic Italian restaurants that are not a tourist trap. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Ernesto and Paula once again for their warm hospitality and service at their beautiful place. My whole family loved their stay! Arrivederci!

Positive: The room is bright , comfortable and cozy . Located just in front of Vatican museums, but you can easily reach center of Rome by metro : 7 minutes easy walk. Ernesto and Paolo are wonderful guests : provide all the needed advises and home like breakfasts. Highly recommended❤️

The owner will personally welcome you, is very communicative and tries to accommodate and help you in everything. The room is clean and cozy. We will not look for anything else on our next visit. Positive: Great place and lovely hosts (even if they try a bit too hard sometimes to please). It's a tough market and they really do go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable. The place was great and the location TOP.

Negative: I booked based on having gym and pool access. This does exist, but it's not as clear as indicated on the website. It says there is swimming and pool access for a fee, but this only works when the apartment owner escorts you across the street to the facility, and it seems the "agreement" isn't totally obvious, as there was a lot of confusion about being allowed to use the gym / pool, and the price seemed to change day to day. Maybe lost in translation, but it's not a high point when arriving. Clarity would be good here ;-)
