Positive: Where to start... This hotel was the final stop on our trip to the coast of Kenya, and we decided to look for a place a bit more isolated and far from Diani. Well, we made the perfect choice! Everything at Mwazaro is designed to make you feel right at home, and they definitely succeeded! The hotel is located about an hour from Diani, close to Shimoni, with no other hotels nearby. It is difficult to describe how beautiful the scenery around the hotel is, with the beach right next to it and a huge lagoon in front. We stayed in a standard double room, and the views were breathtaking; waking with the sunrise and so close to the beach was unforgettable! The staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly; I can honestly say that the service is the best I have ever experienced in Kenya or anywhere else. I would like to thank everyone for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention goes to the chef, the food was a 10/10 for both breakfast and dinner, making dining one of the highlights of each day. Having breakfast and dinner included is recommended, as there are no other easily accessible restaurants or bars nearby. The hotel offers several excursions to choose from. We took a full-day trip that included dolphin watching, snorkeling, a fresh fish lunch, and a visit to Wasini Island. We particularly enjoyed the snorkeling in the marine national park. Notably, the hotel driver dropped us off in the morning (10 minute drive from the hotel) and picked us up at the end of the day, which we greatly appreciated. For the rest of our stay, we mostly relaxed by the swimming pool and in the lounge, which has a billiard, a football table, and comfortable couches. Next to the pool there is a bar with food and drink options, so you can easily enjoy yourself there all day long. To sum up, I would recommend Mwazaro to anyone wanting to relax for a few days and completely disconnect in the middle of a beautiful paradise. We are already planning our next visit!

Positive: Absolute peace and quiet. Right on the ocean shore; wonderful, warm, welcoming staff. A great getaway to recharge - perfect 'vtamin sea'. Beautiful sunrise, amazing food, excellent accommodation. It's also lovely to see that the lodge has thought about sustainability, such as solar power, reverse osmosis, reclaimed materials, locally sourced food etc. I can't wait to go back. 💕

Positive: We actually wanted to go to more well-known and prestigious resorts, but they were all fully booked over New Year's – who would have thought? That turned out to be our good fortune. We ended up in a much less touristy area, where we could take solitary walks on the beach, go on trips to nearby caves and villages, and simply experience a more authentic Kenya. The staff are fantastic, everyone is friendly, but not in the way they are at the big tourist resorts, they are much more authentic. I believe and hope that these people have a good place to work. We stayed in a small bungalow, simply beautiful, no reason to complain. The restaurant was also good and tried to fulfil all our wishes. The cuisine was mainly Italian, but they also serve traditional Kenyan dishes on request. This place is ideal for people who want to hear the wind, the ocean and its counterpart. Music was only played in the restaurant and was turned down significantly on request. The staff are acoustically discreet and almost all the guests are too (the latter may have been just luck). Simply a place that invites you to visit again.
Negative: Even after a couple of weeks I don't remember anything really disturbing.

Positive: I love the friendly staff och the beautiful environment. The food was also excellent. Special thanks to Mildred and Pashua for making the stay so pleasant. Great place to relax.
Negative: It is a bot remote so there is not much to do. Could have had a small gym so that you could do some workouts.

Positive: Unbeatable location. Wide open sea. Some beach at low tide. Great for water activities. Staff are well trained and professional. Felt well looked after in all departments
Negative: Hardly anything. Reconfigure the showers to minimise splashing in the bathroom.
