Summary: Loved this property. The view was insane. We enjoyed watching whales from the back patio. Horse was clean, enough sleeping spaces and blankets for everyone. Plenty of towels. Anything not provided is accurately listed so you can be fully prepared. Location is perfect. Close enough to a store to pick up anything you need and far enough away to feel like you’re on an island. 10/10 recommend and hope to visit again. Property manager was fabulous and so helpful with anything needed.

Summary: We had high hopes for this property but ultimately the price point is not justified given the state of this property and furnishings. It was clean and the views were spectacular. Beyond that, we found the many doors either not in working order or very difficult to open. Main entrance goes to bedroom. No screens or air conditioning or heat (just space heaters), no fans, lots of light switches that did nothing, an old kitchen with worn out cooking equipment, old/stained carpeting, loose handles on kitchen cabinets and shower fixtures, fake flowers and odd mismatched furniture, patio was a mess - giant nail sticking out/hammered down with a little flag on it, construction netting everywhere, overgrown landscaping with no outdoor seating, I could keep going. 2 stars because the views were incredible - lots of whale sightings and sea otters playing below, pelicans, hummingbirds.

Summary: The property was accurately described as dated but beautiful location. And stunning it was! We arrived and the home seemed well cleaned, plenty of linens, along with several nice touches. After stepping into the sunroom, we immediately wanted to rebook...until the next morning when we woke up to mouse droppings on kitchen counter. It can happen and we understand that but we had produce nibbled on, droppings on counter each morning, and a mouse in the oven. There was no cleaning supplies left either so we had to purchase lysol wipes, throw away food, and only eat out. It was not ideal, especially at the price per night. We shared photos with the host and were offered 125 refund for 4 night stay, which was pitiful and never refunded to us. If the mice are eradicated, this place is worth it. Otherwise beware.

Summary: As others have mentioned this property is all about the views & location. The views are amazing! The home is very spacious & well equipped. However it is in need of a remodel, which it sounds like will be done soon. There was orange netting around the grounds during our stay due to this upcoming project. The home is older & things are looking worn (broken & bent blinds, a loose faucet handle in the 2nd bedroom & odd shower head placement in master jacuzzi tub). The layout of the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms are also odd. The surrounding grounds were overgrown, but you can see that there were once trails going to a lower area with chairs. Both tubs could use hand rails as they were quite large & very slippery. We had some issues, but the host was easy to communicate with & responsive.

Summary: The house is conveniently located between Big Sur and Carmel by the Sea. It was incredibly spacious and the views were amazing! Keep a lookout for otters down below. Like previous reviews expressed, it was very outdated. There was also too much chlorine in the hot tub to be user friendly.
