Positive: We stayed here when it had just opened, we were in a tight spot as we were turned away from the campsite we had intended to stay at and booked probably less than an hour before arrival. Staff were polite and helpful. The room was comfortable. We could lock our bicycles outside and it felt safe to leave them. The room rate was extremely good value (but in keeping with them just getting going).

Positive: Great location to walk further uphill for 30 minutes to visit the Temple and giant Kannon. Also walking distance from Takasaki Station if you're light on luggage. Ten minutes walk to a convenience store but further away for dining out. The room was compact, clean and comfortable, a good overnight stop.
