Positive: Lovely little cottage near the coast. Everything you need. Owner helpful and friendly. Nice walks along the Cleveland Way to Staithes and Runswick Bay. Pub/cafe etc. up the road on Hinderwell. Handy for Whitby/Moors.

Positive: Lovely location in a quiet cul de sac right alongside Cleveland Way. Log burner makes it cosy and bed was comfortable. Towels were provided which was a bonus but not specified on the website.

Negative: Could have done with more wood for the fire. 3 logs and a couple of sticks of kindling just starts the first fire. We missed having a grater but otherwise equipment was comprehensive. The oven is too hot but we got used to it as the week went on.

Positive: we have stayed here 3 times now and loved it every time , has everything you need , bed comfortable very warm ,so quiet on a night and nice little yard to sit and have your breakfast , great location to walk on the cliff tops to staithes or Runswick bay , we will be back x

Positive: Location very close to walks into staithes and runswick bay nice quiet village location pubs ten minute walk in hinderwell along with a great bus service along the coast to as far as Whitby! Area is nice and quiet friendly the cottage was clean shower was good and was well equipped with everything you need for a great weekend away.

Negative: Some elements of the cottage are a bit dated but didn’t cause us an issue and was reflected in the price - the sofas aren’t that comfortable but again wasn’t an issue as we were out most of the time!

Summary: Great value, beautiful location close to pubs and transport links

Positive: Absolutely loved the cottage. Was perfect for our Xmas retreat this year. Greeted by a bottle of wine. Open plan downstairs. Really comfortable and cozy with log burner. logs, kindling and firefighters provided. They even set up the fire for us it was ready to light with clear instructions and so cosy. Beds we're so comfortable slept really well. Enjoyed the shower upstairs and little one enjoyed the bath downstairs. Stairs aren't a problem like stated in previous reviews. Our child is disabled and managed by himself with no problems. Would highly recommend. Perfect location for fossil hunters too!
