Positive: The hosts have definitely thought of everything to make your stay comfortable - including the little things like night lights to find your way to the bathroom, patio lights for charm, comfy patio lounge furniture and all the other comforts of home. Loved the view and waking to the sound of the chickens and sheep. So peaceful. Also, we liked its central location to do day trips like a circle around the Verde Valley, an excursion on the Verde Valley Railroad for their Craft Beer event and even Sedona. There's a lot you can see and do with this as your home base. We liked that a lot.

Negative: The one thing that makes this place so great, its remoteness, is also the very thing that makes it a little less easy to on a whim go into town for a quick bite or something, in the dark, when you have to ascend / descend a fairly steep dirt grade to the home. You definitely need a vehicle with a high clearance. We were in a Pathfinder SUV, with no 4WHD. We made it. But it was definitely slow going with the deep ruts. Would not want to attempt it in wet weather with our vehicle. So be forewarned.
