Positive: Near the airport, logistics easy for the flight early next morning. Arrived at the hotel in late afternoon, parked the rental car for a short while by the side of the building. Husband stayed in the car while I checked in and left our hand luggage in the room. Drove the rental car to the airport, there was a petrol station on the way. Returned rental car. If passengers have already done online check-in for the next morning's flight, Lufthansa allows them to get boarding passes and tags for the hold luggage the day before and leave the luggage at the baggage drop. We did so. Thus we could return to the hotel, stay the night and travel back to the airport with the hotel shuttle (10e/person) the next morning with hand-luggage only. Could thus go straight to the security check, saving a lot of hassle. Check out beforehand where the shuttle leaves from, it is very near the hotel but you need to know where. The room was minimal, there were only four hangers for clothes, no cupboards. OK for a night. Surprisingly quiet considering how near the hotel is to the airport.

Negative: They told me at the reception that we could find the shuttle for returning to the hotel (free) by just going out of the airport. This advice was totally unhelpful, as there are more than one exit. We then asked at the info desk at the airport where the hotel shuttles go from (knew it was pier 11). They told us to go outside to the square, go the steps up and there the buses are. However, this was NOT the place where the shuttle bus and pier 11 was, it was for normal buses. I strongly recommend that the hotel email very specific instructions to clients beforehand how to find the shuttle, this is what many hotels do. And particularly not give such misleading advice at the reception. However, we returned to the hotel without problems by taking the normal bus 512. It cost 4,10e per person (cash only) and the hotel stop is the second one after leaving (Swaig ED Eichenstrasse). Hotel across the street. Another recommendation is to have at least some space downstairs at the bar/restaurant level where the music is not so loud. Did not eat there because of this.

Positive: Fun, lively atmosphere in common areas. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

Negative: It's weird that the staff doesn't speak German. I mean if you operate a hotel in a foreign country the residents of that country shouldn't be made to feel like foreigners.
