Summary: Overall the stay was wonderful! Turning into the driveway took us a few times to get figured out in our van, but we mastered it. We absolutely love setting on the porch and watching the view’s. The kids loved the goldfish in the pound. The water pressure in main shower upstairs was crazy. I had to turn the water off to shave. The stairs and the trail down to bridge will definitely give you a workout, especially when your from flat Kansas. The property most definitely could use a deep cleaning for dust and cobwebs hanging around. Overall I would most definitely recommend if looking for a quiet peaceful place.

Summary: I love everything about the property and how close everything is. The longest part to get somewhere, was getting down the mountain when it rained that one day. The house was clean, the view is amazing, and look forward to being able to rent this place again next year (if it's available).

Summary: My family and I were very dissatisfied with this vacation rental. Upon arrival we had NO RUNNING WATER. I called the property manager twice before she answered. She was aware of the issue, but was not of any help to fix it. We called her multiple times that night and she did not answer and NEVER returned our phone calls. I happened to find the property owners information in a desk and called him as well. We left a voicemail, but did not get a call back from the owner until 11:00 the next morning. We were told to restart the pump on the well and it “should work.” Although the owner was very nice, he was not able to fix the issue. Our entire stay (4 nights, 5days) we had to restart the pump EVERY time we used water. Multiple times myself or a family member would be showering and the water would turn off. Whenever we washed dishes, did laundry, washed our hands- we had to have someone turn on the pump and stay in the garage because many times it would not turn on for 10-15 minutes. It was a terrible experience. There were also many minor issues that made it even more unappealing as a vacation rental. Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 bathrooms to share. 1 small roll of paper towels. Dirty downstairs carpeting. We were snowed in one night and no games- not even a deck of cards could be found. We would not recommend anyone stay here. The water issue was terribly inconvenient and frankly the house should not be rented until it is fixed. The property owner should also have a property manager who answers the phone and returns phone calls. I’m assuming he pays for her services and she did not do her job.

Summary: Beautiful property. House had everything we needed.
Courtney Wheeler Aug 6, 2021 02:42:09 AM
Summary: Towels smelled sour as if they'd been left in the washer too long, and the sheets were thin and scratchy. Lots of dust in the dimly lit master bedroom. The garbage and recycling were both full when we arrived with several bags of garbage left in the garage. Worst part was that the water pump shut off about 5 or 6 times during our stay, resulting in complete water stoppage each time. There was no information posted anywhere that this may be a problem or how to fix it. I happened to see the pump in the basement while searching for a solution to the water problem. There were instructions posted on the pump but it was pure luck that I found it. Overall the cabin is nice and the views lovely, just not quite luxurious as described.

Summary: Extremely peaceful and relaxing. We had a great time on our stay!
Melissa R. Jan 19, 2021 01:00:55 PM
Summary: I stayed with my family here for four nights and we found the place to be very clean and comfortable. My family flew into Asheville airport which was about 35-40 minutes away from the cabin. It was an easy drive even at night with snow on the ground. It was fully stocked with everything needed to get through the four nights. Two decks with beautiful views and plenty of space outside to wonder. We really enjoyed listening to the sound of the water running from the creek right outside the cabin. Also, the cabin is just a short drive to Waynesville and Maggie Valley. My family even took a day trip to Bryson city which was about 35-40 minutes away. Overall, great place!
