Positive: I stayed at Mountain View House with my two Aussies, and it was absolutely perfect. The location is stunning - peaceful, surrounded by mountains, and just a short drive to the center of town. The house was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Negative: It would have been lovely to have a small fenced garden area for the dogs, but with so many beautiful places nearby to walk and explore, it really wasn’t a problem at all.

Positive: The house is in a lovely location with superb views of the surrounding countryside. The accommodation is spacious and has a homely feeling making for a comfortable stay. The accommodation is self check in so did not meet the host but she was responsive to messages. There is a shop and several local restaurants nearby which were good value.

Negative: Some noise from a nearby busy road and dogs. There is plenty of parking available but not well suited to motorcycles owing to access being through a steep unmade slope. Check out time is 10 am.

The communication with Caroline was very easy, and a little issue we had upon arrival was sorted amicably and fast. The place itself is very well equipped, even for those who aren’t just passing through but staying for longer.

Positive: Our stay in Mountain View House was absolutely amazing. 3 key highlights: 1. Our host, Caroline was wonderful! She supported us with lot of value added recommendations/tips and her hospitality made our travel experience better. Many thanks, Caroline! We are grateful! 2. Location is superb surrounded by the mountains. The accomodation and the pictures reflect the reality - the views and the house has even more to offer,grater that a photo capture. We were positively surprised and impressed by the views and by the amenities! 3. Overall our stay was very pleasant: the house, the mountains, Valchiavenna alpine valley area is lika a fairytale and the nature is extremely rich in attractions (waterfalls, city center, proximity to Switzerland, lot of opportunities to spend time in the middle of the nature, but having also very close all the urban facilities)
