Mostnica Cottage is a very special holiday rental in a wonderful riverside location in the charming sought after village of Stara Fuzina just over 1km walk from Lake Bohinj, 10 minutes drive to Vogel gondola and in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Comprehensively renovated in 2017 to an excellent standard of comfort this spacious, bright house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, one with woodburner, 3 balconies, private lawned garden with covered outside table and wonderful mountain and river views. There are fantastic walking trails from the doorstep including a trail to the Lake and another one up the Mostnica gorge. There is an abundance of other river, lake and mountain activities in the Bohinj area and spectacular unspoilt scenery comes as standard.
Fully renovated and fitted out in 2017, Mostnica Cottage is an extremely comfortable and well equipped 4 bedroom riverside holiday home offering a great standard of accommodation in the lovely village of Stara Fuzina, Lake Bohinj. A parking area at the front of the house comfortably accommodates 3 cars. Stairs lead around the house up to a secluded lawned garden with covered table and benches with BBQ. The main entrance to the house is accessed from the garden.
The entrance opens to a wonderful bright open plan living room with large L shaped sofa, TV and glass sided woodburner. On the other side of the woodburner is a solid oak dining room with table for up to 12 doors onto the balcony and easy access to the kitchen which is very well equipped and offers dishwasher, microwave, oven, 4 ring stove, toaster, kettle and a solid oak worktop. There is also a breakfast bar with two high stools. On this level is also a bathroom with shower enclosure.
On the first floor are three bedrooms all with double beds, two at the front of the house each with access to the beautiful balcony and one at the rear of the house. There is an additional balcony at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and a bathroom on this level with shower enclosure. On the lower ground floor you will find an additional double bedroom, utility room with sink, washing machine and dryer, 3rd bathroom with shower and a lovely snug room with TV and two pull out day beds giving additional sleeping space for up to 4. From the snug there is also a external door leading to the front of the house. Wifi internet and international TV channels complete the picture for this fantastic Bohinj holiday cottage. The fit out of the house is excellent with solid oak floorboards and top quality beds among its many features.

Summary: Fabulous in a word. We had been to Stara Fazina before and seen Mostnica cottage. As soon as we saw it we started planning to bring a bigger group back. We were not disappointed. We had a fantastic stay. The cottage is so well positioned. It's quiet but has bars, shops and a restaurant within an easy walk. The lake is a 15 min walk so again, relatively easy to get to.We were 4 couples and the Cottage suited us perfectly. We had our own space but also plenty of room for communal dinners and down time. The kitchen is very well appointed and the whole cottage is in very good condition.

Summary: The house is beautiful and well situated for amazing hikes right from the door, no need to drive anywhere, which is amazing. Would be really helpful if the house had: - a coffee maker, this is really a MUST - only pans that work with an induction stove top....get rid of the pans that don't work on the stove top. There were plenty of pans, but not knowing how induction works, it took us a while to figure out that it wouldn't work with some pans...why were those pans there? - hanger/ hooks for all rooms - bedside tables and lamps for all beds - rug under dining table to absorb noise for those downstairs - extra towels and sheets Technical stuff - downstairs has a musty / moldy smell...perhaps can be aired out before arrival? - top floor shower didn't drain so we didn't use. There were 2 other showers - front door at driveway wouldn't open. Would've been nice to know that wasn't the main door upon arrival - would've appreciated a house binder with info on how to work things (induction stove), how to find things in the house and neighborhood Everything else was great. We called upon arrival about missing coffee pot and they quickly answered our call on a Sunday (which was great) but couldn't replace the missing coffee pot (which was not great). Love love love the town and area Go visit!
