A very small farm nestled in the middle of everywhere. Private and peaceful, but located minutes from award winning dining, music, arts, theater and poetry. Only 2 hours from New York and Boston, Farmington has the best of everything.
We live in a separate house on the property and are always close by to answer any questions. We have pigs in the forest and sheep in the pasture, they are visible (but it's not a petting zoo).

Summary: Our family booked this home as a place for those of us from out of town to stay while visiting family in the area. The hosts were kind and communicative, doing all they could to make our stay comfortable. There were fresh flowers in the home, wine and clear instructions. There was more than enough space for our families, with plenty of space to spread out. The home is cozy and adorably decorated. So many things to look at - art on the walls, tons of awesome books and antiques. The grounds are stunning with sheep, the cutest pigs ever, and even tapped maple trees. We were there in March and I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the other seasons. Super convenient location. We all absolutely loved this place. So thankful to the hosts for sharing it with the rest of us.

Summary: Our family of 6 stayed here over Christmas to visit with relatives in the area. It was a magical place to spend Christmas - beautiful picture window to watch the snow fall and sheep hang out. We LOVED everything about it. We own 2 short term rental properties and we were blown away at the fully stocked kitchen. As it was the holidays, we spent much of our time in the kitchen. I brought a bunch of supplies not knowing what was there, but there was no need. Everything I looked for I found. Communication was effortless. Gold standard for short term rental!

Summary: Quaint, very well equipped and maintained, it’s a fairly spacious house on a large property with picture perfect sheep and wildlife grazing outside of your living room window. As urbanites used to room service and king beds, this was a nice change (more for me and the kids than the wife). Would I prefer a king bed and side table? Yes, but that’s hardly why you stay at a property like this. The owners are friendly, responsive and communicative.

Summary: The house was the perfect place for my extended family. There is an oversized family room equipped with toys and games for the children and a quiet living room and screen porch with a gorgeous view for the adults. You’ll never see another house or hear traffic while you enjoy the view or visit with the sheep. Beautiful and peaceful.

Summary: We had the pleasure of meeting Bobbie and Anne and they are so devoted to this property and giving you a comfortable place to stay. Farm fresh goods were a family favorite and we were touched by their generosity in leaving us beautiful eggs for breakfast. Most of all, we found this to be a perfect respite from the hussle of family wedding activities. We want to come back and explore more. Such a special place.

Summary: Our family loved our stay at Moose Lodge. House was perfect, ample room to spread out when needed and comfortable family room and living room to relax and spend time together. Wonderful dining room for family dinners. Would definitely stay again. Hosts are wonderful and very easy to communicate with.

Summary: The property has everything anyone could need. It was perfect for our stay for a family wedding. It was a home away from home. Bobbie and Anne were very helpful when we had questions. The wildlife was spectacular! We saw owls, eagles, and other raptor birds. Sunday morning we saw a coyote! That is in addition to the domesticated animals on the property. There are also lovely trails for walking.
